beautiful view but you need to flex on your expectations in comfort

The property is rather high up on the hill. The view out of our room was excellent and the small swimming pool was nice, although we almost never used it. The host is very friendly and tries to help out with anything you might need. The communication with the host was easy.

Anyhow, the room itself was quite a bare minimum. It had rather poor kitchen equipment, dishes and cups so cooking was not exactly easy. The room was not so cousy either, the beds where hard and we had no blankets upon arrival. Some throws where brought to us upon a request. I am not so aware about the general level in Greece in accommodation, but for a similar price we got much better property in Tenerife, so Iwas expecting something similar.

A peaceful property with helpful staff and in a fabulous location!

The property was in our perfect location. A beautiful part of corfu, away from loud ‘riff raff,’ with stunning beaches (pebbles and sand), and friendly people everywhere. The pool was big enough to swim and play in, with enough sun beds so you aren’t having to lag out your towel and defend it with your life for the day before someone else takes it! The property staff replied within 2 minutes for every one of our requests - so very helpful. The view from the apartments is even better than in the photos. We asked for fresh towels and so we received them within the hour. We accidentally smashed a glass but that was not at all a problem. It was cleaned by the housekeeper asap. We checked out at 11am but we were welcomed to stay to use the pool and shower facilities until we left for the airport at 5pm, leaving our cases in a luggage store by the pool. There is a supermarket/ cafe located at the bottom of the hill of the property, which we went to multiple times a day for the essentials - water/ coffee/ snacks ofcourse! The shower was also really powerful and adjusted to any temperature we wanted. The aircon worked very well.

Although we had some read some reviews about the steep hill prior to our booking, we didn’t expect it to be THAT steep or high up. It takes approximately 7minutes to walk up (for a fit 20 year old who loves cardio). Although i packed two pairs of high heels for nice evening outfits, i couldn’t wear them because the hill was so steep.. so be prepared! It was a fun challenge each day though, and worked up our appetites for our next meal. You can’t leave aircon on while out of the room, but if you leave the doors shut from the balcony, the room will remain cool.

Clean, no frills with wonderful views and an amazing pool.

Budget, no frills but clean accommodation. Lovely pool and wonderful views.

It was difficult to self cater as there were limited kitchen utensils. The only sharp knife was a bread knife which we had to use for everything. One plate between 3 people was a bit of a stretch! It wouldn’t take much to improve the experience. A bottle of water on arrival and a vending machine by the poolside would have been welcomed and better kitchen equipment.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing. Fotini was so helpful she was an amazing host.

The walk-up the hill was tiring, and your body gets used to it, but it's the price you pay for such amazing views.

Lovely apartment in the hills of Paleokastritsa

Spacious apartment with a tiny kitchenette and balcony with lovely views. The A/C was super quiet, beds really comfy. Location was also great – a bit of a steep walk or drive from the main road, but just the distance you needed to get away from the crowds at the end of the day. Also – we didn't think we'd need a pool, but turned out to be a great addition on a day I didn't feel well enough to wander around the island. Our host Fotini was also very lovely – she's been reachable on phone at all times, accommodating all our requests without hesitation. Thanks for having us!

The shower curtain was a bit smelly – would have preferred an alternative means of splash protection. The bathroom sink was leaking slightly, but nothing a towel beneath it couldn't solve :-)

Pleasant and enjoyable stay

We were satisfied with our stay at Fotini Studio. The apartment was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and fresh towels were provided regularly. The view from the first floor was absolutely fantastic. The staff was friendly, responsive, and always available via phone or WhatsApp, which we really appreciated. The pool was in good condition, although we didn’t use it much during our stay. The shower was perhaps a bit small, but manageable. It's also worth noting that the beautiful view comes at a price – the accommodation is located uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a climb. However, parking is available for those arriving by car or renting one. There are certainly a few other areas for improvement, but they are minor and didn’t affect our overall experience, so we won’t go into detail here. All in all, a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

avoid the pool house rooms if you want the good view.

The pool is nice and the room was fairly modern with decent sized rooms. Maria, the property manager is also very helpful with bookings on the island such as transfers and boat hire etc. Also, the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, stove, kettle etc if you want to cook for yourself.

We booked the room thinking we had one of the apartments in the main building because there was no indication of there being other buildings here based on the photos. There is a pool house with two rooms right in front of the pool so you’re literally in front of the pool when you walk out and there’s no view of the bay from those rooms. The photos show the property itself which looks nice but it doesn’t show what you walk out to, if I had known that, I wouldn’t have booked it. Staff just replied saying it’s our fault as we booked based on the photos provided but they’re very misleading so make sure you know which room you are booking. We were also told they clean the room every 2 days (such as clean bins) but we were there for 3 Nights and our room wasn’t cleaned once. Also, I do not recommend staying here without transport, the hill is very steep and long and would be difficult to walk up without a scooter or car etc.

Exceeded expectations

Wow wow wow, Fotini Studios is perfectly placed in the most beautiful part of Corfu, Paleokastritsa!!! Absolute paradise !! The apartments are halfway up a mountainous backdrop with a stunning view from each one of the apartments. The swimming pool was a definite must, and we spent a few afternoons lazying by the pool enjoying our gorgeous surroundings. Maria, the host, was extremely helpful and friendly and assisted us with hiring a vehicle, which we ended up needing being a family including granny especially with the steep winding hill to the apartments and wanting to explore the island, she also helped us with organising a must do sunset cruise and hiring our own boat for a day which was incredible. I highly recommend !!!!

I don't really have anything that disappointed, the apartments themselves and supplied cooking equipment are a bit dated and there was no oven or microwave however the apartments look exactly as the photos (actually the photos dont even do this place justice) so this was expected and for what we paid for what we got this was not an issue at all, especially to be in this location it is well worth it and I think this place is a hidden gem!!! We will definitely be back !! Thank you.

Amazing views, pool and laid back atmosphere. Lovely family running things, very helpful and fundamentally decent. Great for offering good deals on car rental and boat trips. Always happy to give lifts for free when it suits.

The walk up the hill can be hard on hot days. If not renting a car it would be difficult for younger children or older guests.

Fantastic stay in Paleokastritsa

Room: Super spacious room, with a proper little suntrap of a balcony. The air con was great, bed was comfy, kitchen had coffee machine, as well as a camping stove, fridge, sink and cleaning supplies. It was all immaculate. A cosy, simple space for us to call home during our visit - perfect for us. General location: Fantastic location in Paleokastritsa. We ate in a different restaurant each night, all within a short walk of Fotini's. A super convenient shop is on the corner of the path to Fotini's, with a bakery that does lush pies, perfect for beach picnics. If you love a little explore like us, there are fab coves within 20 mins drive. And there's parking on site at Fotini's so no need to worry about that. Boat hire: We hired a boat for 4 hours. This was a breeze to organise, just texted Fotini and she came for a chat then sent the information over. The pool: The pool is lush, deep on one side for fun jumping, and the other more shallow and great for kids/cooling off. There were plenty of sun loungers and brollies too.

WiFi not very strong....but with all the food and beaches, who really cares?

Facility is very clean, the pool, the view, host Fotini is friendly & helpful. Communicates well with guests. Tip for tourist without car: take blue bus from airport to main red bus station. Take red bus to paleokastritsa approx less than 1 hour travel time. Get off at Faros pool (driver knows it) then turn right back one block away to Happy Day Cafe/shop and walk uphill for about 10 mins.

Pleasant

The commutation from Start to finish was excellent.

The shower is tiny, you might aswell turn the bathroom into a wetroom. The amount of mosquitoes there were we got eaten alive. I kept the doors shut and when they cleaned the rooms they left them open. It also states apartments on a steep hill that's a massive under statement we had a car and its a over a minutes drive and you cannot get out of first gear its that steep. No English channels on the TV neither

Beautiful studio in a lovely part of Corfu

Great location in Paleokastritsa, overlooking the sea and our studio was right by the pool which was lovely, with lots of private outdoor space. quick responses from the staff.

The shower leaked onto the floor, so the door needs to be sealed better. I would suggest having a check-in sheet with wifi and other useful info for arrival (probably worth mentioning not to flush toilet paper, just a tip!)
