Dutch Masters Short Stay Apartments

Fab location Comfortable apartment with a garden Well equipped kitchen Responsive staff

Location was ideal, midway between the big museums on one side and Dam square/Centraal station on the other. On a very quiet street but with hundreds of restaurants very close by. Christel, the property manager, met us when we arrived and was always available if we needed anything. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen well stocked with appliances (not that we cooked anything other than breakfast), and plenty of clean towels in the bathroom. Even though we were on the ground floor with the windows literally on the sidewalk, the apartment was extremely quiet, we never heard any street noise.

The only slightly negative thing is that the air conditioning didn't really reach the bedroom, which is at the back of the apartment and could get stifling on the warm summer nights, so we had to rig up a fan that we found in the bathroom cupboard to keep the cooler air from the front of the apartment circulating to the bedroom. A minor nuisance but necessary if we didn't want to sweat all night long.

Location was excellent, space was large and had everything you could need for a few days stay. Garden access was nice and the apartment was very bright and airy.

Only complaint was that the water drained very slowly in the shower, but I guess that's to be expected of an old apartment in the middle of Amsterdam.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom Vermeer apartment for a week. Good central location, high ceiling in very spacious living room, great view of canal from living room. Decent kitchen.

Tiny bedrooms that you cannot open a suitcase in, especially the second bedroom up steep steps in claustrophobic low attic style. No air conditioning in either of the two bedrooms although the whole apartment is supposed to be air conditioned. Basic bathroom with no space for toiletries, and only tiny basic toiletries supplied. Lighting too dark at night in living room. Host did not make us feel welcome. On check out, no one was there to help with luggage.
