Hotel Roemer Amsterdam

Location as per other reviews was great - we could get to the Vondelpark really easily, as well as head into city centre. Near start of canal tours too, and hundreds of restaurants within 5 minutes walk

We were in annex which was nice, we had a lower ground floor family room. The stairs to get down to it were very steep! Small garden space out the back that we unfortunately couldn't access.

The hotel is in great location: quiet streets and a five minute walk from the hustle bustle of Leidseplein, with easy access to trams and busses. The room was spacious, we had a nice view. There’s an elevator, and there was air conditioning which were important in this summer’s heat wave. Very Clean. Big comfortable beds. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

There was no where to hang towels in the bathroom. The glass door on the shower was not floor-to-ceiling and shower water flowed out onto the bathroom floor. In general the bathroom seemed a bit ‘tired’ and could be renovated/refreshed to match the rest of the wonderful experience there.

Great location on a quiet street.

The duvet cover was a little too heavy. The air conditioning worked fine but with covers on it was too warm and without the covers too cool. Otherwise the bad was comfortable

Location - amazing, very close to all the interesting museums, overall center. Very quiet street Staff -nice and friendly. Breakfasts - good for a short stay Beds - nice.

Bathroom is the worst. Seriously - this has slpoiled the whole experience. Something that used to be designed as a black marble, is all covered with whitish stains and looks filthy and very unpleasant. Idea of having both a shower and a bath in the same bathroom - amazing. Except of the fact that the shower doors are a knee-level, which means that all the water splashing at the bottom is splashing overall the whole bathroom floor. This really requires attention - overall the hotel is really nice. But just because of this bathroom experience I wuold not recommend it.
