Lovely building and room.

Great location, lovely building and decor Quality of the food. Check in team were great. Gorgeous room.

The service in the bar and restaurant was quite slow. My toast never came.. there was a ridiculous argument about whether the voucher they gave me covered my drink. Apparently a spicy tomato juice is a cocktail even though it has no alcohol in it so I was charged a ridiculous amount for it. When you have spent so much money on your room it’s unpleasant to have to haggle about the definition on one drink. This is semantics and I am a client not in a courthouse

I feel that they are close to perfection - but not quite so. In my opinion, organisation, attention to detail and a bit more experience in the dining restaurant would fulfil the promise of a 5 star hotel.

Lovely centrally located hotel with super friendly staff.

From the welcome at the door, all the staff were fantastic and looked after me very well. Felt a valued client.

My breakfast order as forgotten and then took a long time to arrive which caused me issues for attending meetings. When it did arrive, it was not particularly good.

Historic hotel with a big heart

A hotel with an interesting history, within walking distance of the main attractions. Very attractive bar and restaurant. Friendly and welcoming staff. We would definitely stay here again.

The seating in the eating area of the bar (used at breakfast) was too low. Perfect for sitting having a drink but not the right height for eating.

Extremely disappointed - not able to cope with a simple request repeat over and over in two days

The hotel is amazing, beautiful and with a lot of charme and history.

I was extremely disappointed as my two-day stay was a surprise for my fiancé’s birthday. Since his birthday was on our last day and we had to leave really early in the morning because of a previous work appointment, I made sure the day before our check-out that he gets a slice of cake with a candle during the next-day breakfast, as a little surprise. I went to the welcome desk with this request the day before, and on his birthday I made sure with the waiter that we get his cake at breakfast. Even if I made everything I could for it, they couldn’t help themselves with this simple task, and made us leave the table without bringing our cake. I just left furious the hotel, because I’ve never had this treatment, never in my life, even in hotels with fewer stars.

Beautiful iconic hotel

Hotel Des Indes is an iconic hotel in The Hague - right at the center of the museum square. It is so beautiful inside and out. The staff is extremely courteous and polite and the atmosphere at the hotel adds to the experience.

Since it is an old and posh Dutch hotel, some of the other guests somehow only expect white people to be around them. As an Indian woman, I found their stares quite uncomfortable. Not sure if the hotel can do something here but definitely an area of improvement.

What a wonderful hotel! Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. My room was large and comfortable. Very tasteful decor. Lovely breakfast.

Excellent location in luxury hotel

We had a great room with a fantastic view of the square outside the hotel. The room was spacious and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was just great. We very much liked the hotel and the bar. We did not have a chance to sample the breakfast. We would stay again.

On day one I requested a shower cap and face wash. They appeared on day three. My teabag supply was not replenished. (I don't drink coffee) At breakfast i ordered an omelet with tomatoes and mushrooms. The omelet i got was a plain one. When booking the high tea for three persons I asked for an intimate table. The allocated seating was inadequate and uncomfortable. We were subsequently moved to a very small table near the staircase. Not ideal. Also, I found the fare not very satisfactory. Delicate finger sandwiches would have been a nice addition.

It's a beautiful building, exquisitely decorated. The service was outstanding, and the hotel is a genuine 5-star experience. Breakfast was delicious, and the range of food was comprehensive The location is perfect for excellent shops and restaurants in a lovely part of town.

Lovely hotel.

The building was beautiful , the rooms and all areas were lovely and most staff were wonderful. My only complaint would be that we paid for breakfast but were leaving before breakfast service started. We asked for a refund when checking out and were told that we should have organised an early morning breakfast box. We did not know that this was available.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel was exceptionally located. Breakfast was good too. Staff were friendly and professional.

Very nice rooms, and the spa and massage services as well. The breakfast was amazing too.

The parking price was not included in the booking price, so we had a nice suprise in the checkout as we thought that everything was included. It should be clear when you book that you are going to pay 100€ extra for 2 days of parking...

Lovely Hotel in Hague

Outstanding decor of the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The parking a bit expensive ( outdoor) and if you don’t make reservation, you’ll not have parking place. When we arrived ( without reservation) there was not space for our car ( we where making check in at the hotel) but most of the cars parked there belonged to clients having diner at the hotel restaurant or just going for a drink. I think we should have priority since we were staying at the hotel.
