    The hotel was gorgeous and the staff were so wonderful. We’d definitely stay again! Just a few small notes that could make the experience even better: our room didn’t have air conditioning, though there was a fan and windows. We stayed during a warm spell, so nights were a little uncomfortable. I was also staying with a friend and the bathroom didn’t have a door, which made getting ready at the same time slightly awkward. There also wasn’t a fridge for keeping drinks and snacks cold, and no wardrobe in the room. We were offered a clothing rack, but it was quite large and seemed more suited to longer stays, so we ended up living out of our suitcases for 4 days.

    Friendly staff! Very near to the tram and bus stop. Easy to go to city and AMS airport. The poor point is no air conditioner and refrigerator in the room. But other points are perfect and comfortable!

    The hotel looks better on a picture than it is in reality. The rooms and hotel itself require renovation. Old mold in the shower, thin doors so you can hear cleaning staff doing their work and the broken rug in the elevator are downsizing the value of it. Kettle and glasses are good, but not when you wake up from the noise of moving cups by the cleaners. It needs and update and maintenance.

    We stayed for 2 nights in Amsterdam with the Conscious hotel. Room was really clean and cozy, toilet and shower is nice, there was complementary snacks and coffee as well which was a pleasant surprise. Couple of things to note, there’s no iron (it’s advertised so maybe it’s available upon request) or a mini fridge, but we didn’t need either, so that wasn’t a deal breaker. Location is great, walking distance from tram stops and major museums like Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum. Neighbourhood is pretty quiet, so it’s good for steady sleep at night.
