Cottage en-suite room with private lounge

This was the perfect accommodation for our weekend visiting the Bridport Folk Festival. Very clean, excellent access on arrival meeting Martin the host. Lovely shower and bathroom. Very quiet location - after the seagulls morning corous! Just a 10 minute walk from the centre. Great garden and outside chairs. Lovely decor/ornaments- a flavour of natural history and the outdoors - complete with a series of Wainrights walking books, a personal favourite of mine. Cosy, comfortable downstairs relaxing area. Anyway, overall a perfect stay. Classic slightly steep cottage style stairs worthy of a Wainright scramble at the top. The fan was a very welcome addition in the heat of summer.

Not a complaint but important to be aware that with no oven or hotplate, self catering needs a smidge of pre-planning focused on a microwave and toaster. Perfect for our needs.

The kitchen area is very small and basic. Great for people who plan to eat out. We knew it was small before we went so can't complain

Clean and cosy and a nice garden to sit in. Welcoming host.

The weather was good enough to eat outside as eating inside would be on our laps but really that’s what cosy is?

The location was fine and the accomodation was satisfactory

The cottage wasn't clean when we got there. We had to move the sofa to get to the fridge and underneath there was a cigarette butt and a dirty carpet, the mantelpiece was dusty, a tray was dirty and needed cleaning and the outside table had bird poo on it which needed cleaning off. It seemed that the cottage hadn't been professionally cleaned and if it had then new cleaners are required
