The cottage was very nice, perfect for what we wanted it for. We had room 1 right next to the front door. Nice comfortable bed, clean & tidy, nice clean on-suite, tea/coffee, sugar, milk, box of cereal provided. Utensils provided and a picnic basket which was a nice touch. Fridge in the room, nice light and airy, table and chairs to sit at, TV in the room (we never used it though) not far to the beach and centre of the shops, cafe's, pubs, eating places. All on the ground floor which was nice, outside space to sit and have a drink or breakfast. Most of the eating places were absolutely amazing, couldn't fault the ones we went to at all.

The host was all over the place, asked if we had received an email about not being there till 4 pm, we said no, she laughed and said oh dear I probably didn't send it then, we arrived at 3 and had emailed a week before asking if we could, the reply was 4pm for check in, also I asked if there was oat milk, no reply. There were other rooms like the dining room and another big room which weren't even mentioned on arrival, and looked like they were being worked on, no explanation to what was going on too, no guest book in the room to say where places were or places of interest, no phone number in case we needed to contact host, after check in we never saw the host again, the place was up for sale too. Just wish the host would have been more forthcoming with information. Wifi very slow. Expensive for what we had (£150 per night).

Excellent location, very peaceful (except for the dawn chorus when we didn’t shut the skylights!) Had all we needed for a short break

Was a little difficult to move around the bed area (both tall people)

Location was great, only a few minutes to the beach and West Bay but still quiet. The property was lovely and cool so we didn’t need fans although two were supplied. Cereal, OJ and tea and coffee were supplied.

The property itself was quite tired, peeling paint and shower door needed replacing. The bed was way too short for us and it felt very claustrophobic having such a low ceiling and stairway. The TV disconnected from the WIFI just before the England game which was frustrating, although someone did come along and helped fix it. We also weren’t aware that the garden was communal and looks right into the annex we were staying in.
