The apartment was small bur very well furnished. Everything you could need to use it as a base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Easy transport links if you don’t want to drive. Hot tub was very welcome at the end of the day. Plenty of space during the day when the extremely comfortable bed is put away. Velux window over the bed meant we could look at the stars, although there is a blind if that’s not your thing…. The garden is beautifully kept in a rambling country cottage way and a lovely place for breakfast

Minor things…the kitchen cupboards were a bit high for me..I’m only short….and I had to reach over the cooker to get tableware out. The apartment smelt a bit must when we arrived, but it was shut up on a very hot day. This went after we’d had the doors and window open for a bit, and didn’t come back

Central location but nice and peaceful, private walled garden. Everything has been thought of to make your stay comfy. I loved to watch the birds and squirrels come throughout the day to check out the feeders.

Not really a problem with the property but more the tall trees in the hotel grounds blowing leaves into the hot tub constantly. Possibly just the time of year we visited.

The location was perfect for spending time in and around Malton and for a day trip to York. The garden was lovely. The owners introduced themselves, lent us a book on Malton, and were very sweet.

It's a very tiny space and it needs a deep clean. There were a lot of cobwebs on the stone wall, around the ceiling lights and wood, etc. It has a damp musty smell that is hard to take after a couple of days. There were no extractor fans anywhere, even for the shower or separate toilet and sink area.The bathroom sink is very, very tiny and is difficult to wash in without getting water on the floor. New pillows on the bed would be great. The two chairs in the sitting area are worn out and hurt our lower backs to sit in. It just needs a bit of TLC. The outdoor table and chairs have the paint peeling off, for example.
