The Hayloft is a home from home holiday let and is part of a redundant set of agricultural farm buildings, the grade 2 listed property was sympathetically converted in 2017 by the owners to a very high standard.
Located in the village of Broughton (a no-through village) it is in an ideal location for touring the area with Castle Howard & The Arboretum 6 miles away, York 18 miles away, Helmsley 15 miles, Malton 1 mile, Pickering & The North York Moors Steam railway 9 miles, Thornton-le-dale 9 miles, Whitby 30 miles.
Pub serving food within 800 metres Cantonese restaurant within 2 miles + all the
amenities in central Malton (less than a mile away) which is reputed to be the Food Capital of the North.
This first-floor conversion has an open plan sitting room/dining area/kitchen with oak beams, CD + DAB radio/player with additional speakers in the luxury bathroom with large free standing bath & separate shower, bedroom with king-size bed & walk-in wardrobe, garden room below with indoor/outside seating.

A warm welcome from the Hosts and a tour of the property and facilities. Some suggestions for visits in the local area as well as a great suggestion for our first nights meal out locally.

One of the best we have stayed in! A clean and comfortable home from home with everything you could possibly need, including an umbrella and picnic set. Dawn and Dave were the perfect hosts and on hand to deal with any problems. The gift of milk and cookies was a very nice touch, something other owners rarely do these days. We would definitely want to stay at The Hayloft again if we were in the area.

We loved the hayloft from the moment we stepped inside. Every room felt spacous and comfortable, with a modern clean look alround. The location was ideal for going to the coast or inland to places,like York. But it was the smaller towns and villages around us that appealed most to us with plenty of places to walk inbetween. The hayloft looked like it could be suitable for anytime of year.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this lovely property and can't wait to return. It was spotless, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Perfectly situated to explore North Yorkshire - we enjoyed a walk from Hutton-le-Hole to Rosedale Abbey and Lastingham, across the Moors. Would definitely recommend staying in the Hayloft! Dawn and Dave were there to greet us and show around the property. The photos are fab but don't live up to actually being there. The apartment is stunning and The Bath is Mega. If The Hayloft hasn't got it then you don't need it. We found it to be the perfect location to visit lots of lovely places, York, Filey, Ripley, Whitby to name a few. There are so many lovely places to eat out and then come back to the comfy Hayloft. We will be back. Thankyou

We had a wonderful stay at Dave and Dawn’s Hayloft in Broughton. The hosts really make you feel at home, the accommodation is complete, very clean and well cared for. They even supplied us with milk and cookies on arrival! It’s a perfect base for exploring The Yorkshire moors and dales and of course for a visit to York and Whitby. If there’s anything you need, Dave and Dawn will help you. All in all, a perfect place with a perfect couple as hosts.
