Lovely setting

The surroundings were beautiful, with the castle, town and Clee Hill beyond offering a wonderful back drop with views from the second floor bedroom. The lights of the town twinkled at night. It was very peaceful and welcoming, the staff I met were helpful and friendly. My room was clean, comfortable and well equipped, it had a small but ample.shower room. I can't comment on the food, I dined out with a friend and had to leave early in the morning, so skipped breakfast.

I would stay again and recommend to others but I wouldn't stay in the same room because the wall was very thin between the rooms, this meant it wasn't always restful.. The shower was okay, but at one point, mid shower it went stone cold for a while.

Excellent base for not the town itself and visiting many of the historic locations in the area.

Location. Excellent breakfast.

Could have fresh milk available in the bedroom, rather than UHT cartons. In a double room perhaps a packet of biscuits each rather than one between two.

Pleasant restaurant with rooms in excellent location to explore Ludlow.

Staff were lovely. Location by the river looking up at the Castle lovely and easy walking distance into Ludlow. Bedroom comfy. Food was fine.

Lovely restaurant with rooms within walking distance to Ludlow

Lovely location. Room was spacious with a nice view over well kept allotments & nearby fields. Good restaurant. Short pleasant walk into Ludlow & lots of river/woodland walks close by.

Quiet, comfortable, reasonable location, good food and lovely front of house staff.

The staff were excellent, it was all women and they were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. The downstairs area was spacious, light and airy, modern and smart. Food was good - there was a good selection of both food and wine. It was warm and comfortable. Location was good, quiet countryside within a reasonable walking distance of the town. There was plenty of parking.

Upstairs was a bit old-fashioned and the room - king en-suite standard - was small and the en-suite really tiny! We were only there one night so it wasn't a problem. There was everything you expected - tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, extra pillows and everything was clean. The Cliffe really is a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. Remodel it to have fewer rooms, but larger and modern, like the downstairs area, and it would be an excellent small hotel.

A good hotel in a good location. Our visit was cut short for family reasons but we will retirm

All the meals were excellent. In particular the breakfast was made to order rather than a buffet. This meant that eggs, for instance, were fresh as opposed to what you would expect from a buffet. Dinner was very good with a small but good choice of wine.

Our room was quite small but we expected that since it was the last one available. Perhaps a more changing dinner menu given that the choice was not huge

Lovely clean, comfortable, convenient hotel with realy friendly staff

Great location - only a short walk to Ludlow Town and the Castle. Clean comfortable room. Lovely friendly staff. Great food and of real importance to us - the hotel is dog friendly. We really appreciated that we could leave our car in the car park while we explored Ludlow even after we had checked out. This was our second stay and I’m sure it won’t be our last.

I think we’ll go for one of the cottages next time - with a walk in shower that will be much easier for us 🤣

Comfortable and quiet room, easy parking.

Offhand or untrained staff, room not serviced properly and no apology forthcoming, very poor evening meals in restaurant definitely not 2 rosette standard, breakfast also lacking fruit variety.

Nice location & good food

Nice decor and 10-15 min walk into Ludlow. Good dinner and breakfast. Lots of green spaces nearby for walking and exercising dogs.

Room was quite small even though I was travelling alone. One night with dinner B&B and dog was £200 which seemed a lot but reflects the area and penalty for sole travellers.

In a nice spot a short walk away from the town, only ten minutes. Nice patio area for sitting outside with a drink.

A very small niggle - thought that the quantities of shower gel/shampoo provided were minimal! Needed to request more (there were 2 of us sharing the room). One small shampoo and shower gel originally provided were just insufficient!

Very good breakfast, excellent location.

Having paid for a Deluxe King size room, booked in April, it was pretty poor, we were given room 11, noisy, air extraction fan from the kitchen could be heard most of the night.

Beautiful location

The hotel is set in a beautiful rural location, yet is only a 10 minute walk from Ludlow centre. The rooms were immaculate and had touches like a full length mirror and a well lit mirror in the bathroom. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful

Great location for Ludlow castle and town, helpful staff, great breakfast

Lovely views of the castle and countryside from my attic room window. The team at Dinham were very helpful, booking me a local taxi and letting me store my backpack whilst I went sightseeing for the morning. The breakfast was very good, all made to order, with excellent tea and fresh juice, all served in a beautifully bright and airy room.

Every movement in the room next door was heard as though it were in my own room.

Nice hotel, friendly, comfortable and great location

The hotel was perfectly located for the start of the Marcher Castles Way cycling route. There is only a short walk to Ludlow Castle and the town centre. The hotel was clean and comfortable and staff members were friendly and helpful. There was storage space for our bikes and we were allowed to leave our cars at the car park for 4 days until our return. Good quality breakfast and dinner.

Rooms were fairly small with twin beds close together. Dinner menu probably slightly overpriced.
