The staff, especially Armie, were so kind and welcoming. The room was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The grounds were even more stunning, especially the pool area. Breakfast was delicious with fresh cooked eggs and freshly baked croissants that you could smell each morning, and absolutely get the home cooked dinner! Also there is a secret wooded path down to the Quinta de Regaliera from the proiperty that was very convenient! It was all wonderful.
The location was up on the mountain that Pena Palace and Moorish castles are, and getting into town and back was a bit of a puzzle since Sintra is not easy for driving and walking was quite a ways up hill. We relied on Uber/Bolt a lot if we had to get into the center.

Absolutely stunning location in the forest, with trail access to town and all the best "palais." Lovely welcome with homemade cake and lemonade; amazing breakfast and incredible personalized dinners by chef Armie in the beautiful courtyard under the stars. Will definitely return! This was the highlight of our trip to Portugal.

Such a high-end beautiful place where you also feel comfortable and taken care of as if by family. Loved the cold plunge and pool on the hot days, the room had all the amenities we could need and the area was absolutely beautiful.
My only complaint was the loud music down the mountain one night. I think there may have been a wedding or something but it was pretty loud. I can't imagine what it would have been at the other places closer to that. We were lucky we were farther up the mountain!

This is my favorite place in whole Sintra, it’s a real hidden gem. Came to Quinta Velha 10 years ago and always can’t wait to be back!
Such a unique atmosphere can be found only there. Also the pool and cold plunge 😍
