Great house, just a short 5 minute walk to city center. Clean and Spacious. Incredible view. Pictures were accurate. Would stay here again. Next time I would get donuts at McKenzies Bakery everyday.....they were amazing!

Our stay at Skye Bay was wonderful! The home has all the comforts of home, plus an incredible view of the morning sunrise over Loch Portree and the Isle of Raasay! Spectacular!! The washer and dryer came to very good use, and the bedding and living accommodations were very comfortable. It’s one of the most pleasant places we’ve ever stayed and highly recommend it. The home is situated perfectly in a charming town and an easy ride to all the island’s wonderful adventures!

We had a great time here and loved the property! The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was there, and more! The only trouble we had was figuring out how to open and lock the door - it often took a few minute before getting it, but that could be because our door handles are different in Canada and we had to figure the tricks out. Had a tricky time finding the place in the dark when we arrived, but it's right across from a small fire station (there was no noise or anything) on the corner so if you know that, it's easy to find. Was very quiet, comfortable and would highly recommend it! We would go back in a heartbeat!!

This is the 2nd time we stayed, fantastic location and the house is brilliant value for money. Only one thing I would change, the beds downstairs when you move make a terrible ratling, when you have two children who constantly move about in their sleep, they are very noisy. But other than that was great. 🙂

The first impression is not positive as there were building materials throughout the yard. The door into the kitchen was incredibly difficult to lock after we opened it. There wasn’t any WIFI and the property manager finally sent someone out to rectify things after I called twice and we only had WIFI for 40 minutes before it went out again. They came out again the next day after I repeatedly called and never listened to the voicemails I left. I liked the property it was large enough for 8 of us and the location is great, but the property manager has ignored all emails I’ve sent asking for a compensation due to the WIFI issues and us having to buy cellular data. Disappointing for sure!

Everything about this place was fantastic! My wife and I stayed here for the few days before and after our wedding and couldn’t have asked for anything better. We had all of our services (hair, makeup, photographers, cake etc) come by to the house as well and the size of the house didn’t make anything feel cramped. We’d definitely return

This place was fantastic. We stayed here with our entire family for a few days before and after our wedding on Skye and loved it. The size was fanatic for all of the vendors to come do their thing (hair, makeup, photographers etc) while us being able to still work around. Such a short walk into town and an incredible view of the loch. We would come back

We loved this rental house. The location is perfect - easy walk to town and a stunning view. Finding it the first time was a bit tricky but after that no issues. Great easy to use kitchen and wonderful dining and living areas. Bedrooms were very comfortable and great consistently hot showers. Plus having a laundry machine and dryer was such a bonus. Would love to come back some day.

The house is comfortable and the location is perfect in Portree but this house is an home staging house and the price is really too high; some materials need to be better, for the floor for example ; some details could be improved and one problem very dangerous on the bed in a room has to be repaired

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house. It was very comfortable for our group of seven and we loved the convenient location with a quick walk to the charming village of Portree. The house is equipped with everything we needed and extra points for having a dryer which our other rentals did not have. The view is spectacular and everyone we met in the neighborhood and associated with the property was friendly and helpful.

Arriving at this property, it looked like a construction zone. We hardly had room to turn in to be off the street. When I called, the property manager met us and informed us that the deck was being redone which should have been finished when we arrived, but obviously wasn't. She assured us that we would not be bothered and honestly, we were not bothered in the least after we settled in. We still should have been advised of the project prior to arriving. We found the property very clean and comfortable. We only used 2 bedrooms which we found very spacious and welcoming. We all slept very well and the en suite bathrooms were very convenient with good water pressure in the showers. The kitchen area was a bit intimidating with its jazzy modern appliances, but we figured them out without too much bother. I would suggest that kitchen utensils be better stocked with spatulas, etc. as we had to improvise. The traffic lanes around the property were very narrow and took a bit getting used to. We could walk to the harbor area easily, but there was a steep hill back to the house which was too much for a couple of us. The views from the house were beautiful - one of the advantages of being on a hill - and once we settled in, we were totally comfortable. I would stay here again (with a completed deck) and wold recommend to others.

It was a short 2 minute walk to all the attractions, shopping and restaurants in Porter and easy access to the rest of Skye. Online and phone communications with property management were excellent and responsive. The location was very good, short walk to town, and the view was very nice. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. However, for 7 adults the place was very cramped. It is advertised as 5382 sq.ft. on the website. This home could not be more than 2500 sq.ft. Not sure what they were measuring, maybe the lot. There is not a coffee table or end tables in the living room, so if we were having wine/hors d'ouevres before dinner there was no place to put anything. We ended up pulling one of the benches from the dining table to the living room to set down wine glasses and plates of food if we were gathering there. Then we'd have to put the bench back. The benches and wire chairs in the dining room were uncomfortable for sitting any period of time. The kitchen is big, but has a very small table & 2 high chairs, so people had to eat in dining room if we all wanted to be together. There is no Coffee Maker! You can only make instant coffee, which no one in America drinks. We had to walk to the village every morning if you wanted real coffee. The railing on the steps leading to the kitchen door need to be attended to. They are loose and wobbly.

This property is an attached house in a great location, with parking. It was clean and comfortable. The beds are a double, two queens and twins. Bathrooms are small but very clean. The exterior is a little scruffy but for what we needed it was perfect.

Lovely place to start and explore Isle of Skye. Fast and good communnication with our host plus a lot of detailed Information regarding the Isle and Portree. Eveything was clean, the kitchen is huge and has all that was needed for a big breakfast and dinner. The cozy Living room makes the stay much more enjoyable during a rain shower. The great view over the Port was memorable. We would recommend the stay and come again.
