Refused to host me 30 minutes before my arrival

He cancelled the booking for free.

Basically they cancelled my booking 30 minutes before my arrival and check in time, they told me either to book two nights or they won't accept me. Please note that we were a couple on our honeymoon and booked through booking.com and they approved the request but still 30 minutes before the arrival they just said they won't host less than two nights!!! BTW, I have the conversation on booking.com and on WhatsApp.

Location, cleanliness and size

The host, ask us to leave at 11 sharp, she was ringing our door bill at 11 sharp and refused to allow us to take shower before we leave.

Very relaxing and enjoyable. The Unit was very comfortable with terrific view of the lake.

Samuel met us when we arrived and presented us with the keys and gave us a tour of the apartment. Plus he made sure we knew how to work the locks on the apartment plus the outside building door. We also received breakfast coupons for a delightful Cafe located just across the street from the building with several delightful choices of a full breakfast. Everything was very good and their cappuccino was terrific. There were a number of area guide books in the unit for us to look through to see what to do and where to go. Plus Samuel offered to be our guide if we were interested in touring around the lake. We did take advaantage of his offer and had two wonderful days exploring several different villages around the lake and enjoying lunch in charming cafes right on the waterfront. The location of the unit was very close to the Ferry terminals if was had wanted to take the ferry it was a two minute walk. We were also right in the old town and were able to walk through the streets, explore the cathedral a block away from our unit and shop in the stores there. All in all, Como Lake Suites was the perfect place for us to stay. WE liked the location, cleanliness, size of the unit, comfortable bed, great shower, windows had a nice view of the town square where a brass band was playing when we arrived and view of the lake. The unit had a lovely balcony with table and chairs for us to take coffee or a glass of wine outside. Very safe area and locks on the building and unit were very good.

We had trouble getting the TV to work properly, But the Wifi in the unit was wonderful and we just streamed programs we wanted to watch. Samuel tried to fix it for us and indicated he would have it fixed for the next renters.

We ran out of hot water after one shower and advised the owner…. Only to be accused it was our fault… Terrible reply… At 10:30 at night we were told to wait 2 hours

Very nice apartment in good location.

Location was perfect with access to everything close by. The apartment was large, updated, clean. Plenty of space for family of 5. Beds were comfortable with good closet space and drawers.

The air conditioner was remote controlled by the host and he would turn it off at midnight every night and it got warm during the night.

The service was fantastic. The hosts met us at the property and explained everything to us in detail. They responded instantly to all our questions. I would highly recommend comolake suite and we would stay there again.

The location and facilities of the property were perfect and the breakfast at the local restaurant by the lake was a very special addition. Hosts were so helpful and it was a perfect base with easy access via the boat to other destinations..just buy your tickets in advance!

Como Suites-Excellent

Very clean, all we required, excellent city and Duom views. Near restaurants. Just walk out of the property and you are in the middle of activities of the town.

Did not find fault with the property. We had coffee, tea, microwave, dishwasher and fridge and washing machine. Coffee maker with pods. Air condition was excellent.

Location could not be better!

We were in the Duomo apartment. The location was the best part about this place. The bed was super comfortable and we had a lot of space. Was a really good sized apartment. The coffee in the apartment was really good.

Nothing negative. Only thing to note is that there is a €30 tourist tax to be paid when you check out. The reminder comes late in the evening the day before check out, saying it has to be in cash. Just a heads up to get your cash in advance because the atms don’t do small change and the checkout procedures are done with the cleaner who comes. Communication was a bit difficult because on both ends, for some reason, google translate does a terrible job but that’s not really anyone’s fault. Just a heads up that’s all.

Good apartment if you have no other choice. I would not go again.

Location is great

The check-in and check-out process is very inconvenient. I had to wait for the owner to hand me the keys. No parking available in the building. I had to park the car in public area and walk all the way to the building. The owner doesn’t allow to keep the baggage in the building before check-in time. Communication is very difficult with the language barrier. Owner was 45 minutes late to hand me the key and she blamed me for being on time.

Location was perfect & near to everything...bars, restaurants, train station & boats

Location was amazing. The restaurant for our breakfast was very near & offered continental breakfast. Our suite was spacious, air conditioning, separate seating & all the mod cons we could ask for. The view was stunning, large balcony but slightly obstructed by trees. Location & Apartment was perfect

Had to wait 35 minutes for the keys, even though i gave 1hr notice of our ETA. When i tried calling to see where they were, the host hung up & messaged ''write me''. I will put this down to lack of english. The safe didnt work & i asked for it to be checked. Unfortunately this was not rectified & i had to carry my passports & money with me at all times, which was not ideal. The upsetting remark...i messaged the host & asked where to leave the keys because we were leaving at 06:15. The response was sul.tavolo.della kitchen. I thought this was a place, so i asked, where is this place & will it be open at 06:15 (i didn't realise it meant leave the keys on the dining table). The reply i got was...''Leave it. All the S**t on the kitchen table'' not a nice reply.

Great breakfast at nearby cafe. Staff there got to know me and were very friendly. Super location, view to Lake Como, easy walk to the railway station and buses. Lift to the apartment. An excellent location from which to launch a relaxing and fun-filled stay in Como.

The location was perfect because we had a view of the lake, it was close to a great gelato place, and walkable to all of the relevant sites, restaurants, and shopping in Como. We could also see the ferry line from the window. We could also easily walk to two different train stations that took us to Milan and Turing. We also pre-paid for breakfast and that restaurant and staff were wonderful. The dinner there was great as well. All of the host’s recommendations were perfect!

The shower stall was a bit small. We kept bumping into the glass while trying to shower.

Perfect t location and apartment with fabulous hosts

This was the best apartment experience we had over 5 weeks of travel. The hosts went out of their way to ensure all our needs were met. They even drove us to the train station. They provided breakfast vouchers at a nearby restaurant and you could really see the love and pride they had in their beautiful apartment. Sitting on to e balcony and watching the people below and looking at the lake was a highlight during our stay.

We had our 9 month granddaughter and she’s in the crawling stage and while the apartment appeared to be clean the carpets and kitchen mat were dirty. Always washing her feet and knees.

Not a big deal but the elevator was not working so we had to walk up and down the stairs quite a few times. The owners were very nice and gave us free drinks and covered the city tax for the inconvenience.

The owner of the apartment is very lovely , she welcome us upon arrival also very responsive on any questions asked specially about the the area , the apartment is in amazing location , less than 1 minute walking to shops and restaurants and hair salon , the apartment was very clean and amazing condition its like a new apartment , they have offered a private parking which is 3 minutes walking from the apartment , the building is very safe and the apartment had several safety looks , i highly recommend this to a friend.

The only thing is The owner didnt speak english which made the communication very difficult.

Reaching the apartment from Como SG was a challenge. We should have been told to arrive at Como Logo when we asked. We were told it’s the same, which is not true. We could not get taxi from como SG and had to walk to our apartment with our luggage.
