Located in an incredibly peaceful cove, you'll enjoy hours of leisurely floating without the worry of boat traffic. The dock features a fun rope swing, perfect for both kids and the young at heart.

We had a wonderful time at Happy Oars! This house was plenty big enough for the 10 of us (6 adults and 4 kids). We loved hanging out on the dock, swimming, fishing, and using the rope swing. The water was amazing! Crystal clear and 82 degrees. We also enjoyed grilling out on the deck and taking in the awesome views of the lake from both the deck and the family room. The beds were all super comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Angie was very responsive and flexible with our arrival and departure times which made the trip even more fun

We had a great stay at Happy Oars. Our group of 12 (3 families) fit great in the space. Plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Game room was a huge plus for the kids. We loved floating in the deep cove, swinging from the rope swing, and hanging in the swings on the dock. Kids alap loved the splash mat on the lake. Overall great place to stay!

Stayed during the off-season in September 2020 with fantastic results. We only had 4 people, but wished we would have added an additional family as it has ample room for 1-2 more families. House was clean (some Spider webs which is expected on a lake house), and fully stocked kitchen / game setup (air hockey pucks could use a replacement), with a gas grill that we used extensively. You have proximity to at least 2 marinas offer boat rentals, fishing supplies, etc. As a family you have plenty of space to separate and the internet supported zoom calls well enough that working remotely was not an issue. The addition of some more lights to the two social areas would be helpful for puzzles and games, but it was nice to have so many options.For us the biggest draw was the dock, we floated, jumped off the rope swing, paddle boarded (provided), and just enjoyed the peacefulness of the lake. Easy to tie up a large pontoon and water jumping off the dock was 7-8 ft deep. Even caught at 18in Catfish from the dock!Would recommend and stay again if we venture back to SML.the cove was far away that any boat traffic/noise didn't impact things.
