Pukawa is a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed our stay in a rustic kiwi bach with a big deck surrounded by native trees and lots of local Tūī and Kererū to keep us entertained. It’s only a 5 min walk down to the Lake where there is a beautiful sheltered beach.

The property was just as advertised. We had such a pleasant stay. Everything we needed is available. The bed was nice and comfy. It felt like our home away from home. The location was pretty handy too. It wasn't too far from either ski field and was so close to Turangi for groceries and gas. It's a shame we didn't stay longer and the weather wasn't so great. We could have explored the lakeside and surrounding areas more! Definitely worth a come back!

Homely bach, very tranquil spot. If you have young kids, and are planning to stay in winter, be aware there is no fire safety guard for the wood burner.

This is the second time we have stayed here, it is a great place for two families, a beautiful location and very comfortable. We skied, biked, walked and swam. We were especially grateful for Katarina's help. When we ran out of firewood she was very quick to arrange a delivery of more wood. We would love to stay again and highly recommend the place.
