About this house rental
This beautiful family home sits above the rest and overlooks Lake Taupo and the Kaimanawa Ranges.
Everything has been designed for comfort and ease and you will want for nothing during your stay here with a fully equipped kitchen and all the mod cons plus a BBQ for outdoor entertaining.
Entertaining is what this space was made for with open plan living out to a conservatory upstairs and sunny decks with massive views of Lake Taupo. Suitable for family holidays with plenty for the kids to do with a pool and tennis table to use.
Set in the mountains of the central North Island, on the shores of Lake Taupo. The surrounding rivers like the Tauranga-Taupo, the Hinemaiai and the Tongariro River are considered as some of the best trout fishing in the world.
Winter Sports
It is just a 40min drive to the mountain, hire shops in Tokaanu, Turangi and on the way to the mountain. After a great days skiing there are thermal hot pools in Tokaanu to soak in
Summer Sports
Swimming, boating, water-skiing, canoeing and fishing are just a few things that you can take part in on the lake.
There are some amazing walks, including the world famous Tongariro Crossing.
Bungy Jumping, the flying fox, the swing, parachuting, paragliding, and all the extreme sports you could think of.
There are top Golf courses in Turangi and Taupo.
Omori dairy is across the road and New World, Hydro cafe and boutique shops in Turangi Town Centre only ten minutes drive.
Plenty of parking on and offsite with space for boat parking.

Even on a rainy weekend, this incredible property provided the perfect getaway destination. The views made us feel like we were on a luxurious holiday, the number of rooms and various spaces to hang out were perfect for our family. Affordable, comfortable and easy - would recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely long weekend.

Lovely property with stunning views and a great space. However, the rooms and layout aren't quite as described. One bedroom is in fact the "second lounge" and therefore you need to walk through it to get to the 4th bedroom (there is no second lounge). The downstairs bathroom is also off this "bedroom" so you need to be comfortable with walking into the other bedroom to get to the bathroom. The booking also described the bed layouts wrong so we had linen for two rooms with twin singles but only one room had single beds the other 3 rooms were queens. Additionally, the hot water wasn't on when we arrived so our first showers were cold (the instruction book details how to turn it on but not the check-in message). The other problem was that the "boat parking" described was taken up by the owners boat that had been left there. Overall still a great place to stay but felt let down that a few things in the description were unnecessarily misleading.
