Heir Island House

Lovely cottage and well decorated rooms.

Craig and Claudia are excellent hosts. They were there at the dock to take our luggage. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and they had a nice bottle of Prosecco, brownies and card for us. The food was cooked with love, and they went out of the way to accomodate us. The island is beautiful and quite relaxing. The Pizza was the real deal.

Heir House is a wonderful guest house - super friendly, and the proprietors Claudia and Craig go to great lengths to ensure your stay is enjoyable and comfortable. The guest house has an informal and relaxed atmosphere, and is very comfortable. The location is stunning, being right on the coast of Heir Island with sea views all around, and the food is simple and utterly delicious. I strongly recommend Heir Island House for relaxing and memorable stay in a magical location.

Claudia and her husband are brilliant hosts. We had our dog with us and we had a great time and met loads of new people. Their house is cozy and dog/people friendly. Our room was lovely, good size, great bed and a modern bathroom/shower. The PizzHeiria attached serves the most amazing Pizzas Claudia takes home cooking to another level and deserts should not be missed. We opted for the continental breakfast but you can order the full Irish. We had no idea what to expect but Claudia made the stay excellent. Beautiful sandy beach for swimming is located 10/15 mins slow walk from Heir Island House Never been to Heir Island but we will go again. Remember to bring everything you need.

Heir Island is small with lots of charm but.... It is limited having no shop/pub etc. I loved the vibe but I could see that if you were expecting facilities like other islands you might be a bit disappointed. We went for a quiet few days and that's what we got. Remember to bring everything you need.
