About this cabin rental
3 Bedroom, 2 bath cabin in the woods surrounded by water - Cross our mountain stream as you enter the property and enjoy the Vallecito River running through the back. The cabin is privately located in a quiet and relaxing area among majestic ponderosa pines, spruce and fir trees. Enjoy the serene and relaxing atmosphere and watch the local wildlife play among the trees or maybe catch a mule deer drift past. Sit along the river while enjoying an evening fire in the fire ring. There is fishing in the river at anytime. Inside offers all amenities you expect in a vacation cabin. Phone service is by cell service (ATT or Verizon best). The covered deck offers protection from rain and views of the Vallecito river and surrounding area.

This property was perfect for relaxing on the porch and enjoying the beauty of Colorado. Although the Oct flood had changed the view of the river behind the property, it was still a peaceful site. The place was very clean and supplies were everything we needed. The location was great for meeting family staying in another property within walking distance. We were able to get around to many places close to Vallecito Lake but also not too far to drive to Honeyville and Silverton. Will be checking on availability for reserving again next year!

The cabin was clean and the kitchen had been remodeled since the last time we were there and was great. There was a flood back in October that diverted the river in front of the cabin and tons of rocks were where the river used to be. There was still some river (creek) flow in front of the cabin but the big flow of the river was on the opposite side of the cabin. Still beautiful. We managed to love it anyway. Good hiking and relaxtion.

The area was beautiful but the pictures and river access are a little inaccurate at the moment. The big floods last year brought a ton of rock into the creek bed and surrounding area and it is actually really difficult to walk to the edge of the creek. The fire pit was awesome though and the house was comfortable.
