Fabulous, private hideaway with secure parking.

Fabulous setting in a lovely area with a wonderful host and very friendly feline! Very quiet and peaceful after a very busy road journey from the Pyrenees. Swimming pool a genuine bonus and perfect respite after a hard day's travel. A handy downstairs studio with a microwave and kitchenette. Secure, private parking: Look out for a grey sliding gate with a gated archway as an entrance location marker. Perfect stop-off point for heading to the northern ports. We will be back on our next visit through France. Thank you Veronique and Mimix!

Excellent

The property is beautiful, the photos do not do it justice. It’s even better in person. We had a lovely welcome from the owner, she even put us in an air conditioned room and ordered us pizza’s to collect, as we arrived later than expected. It was a great stop off for us on the way to the Dordogne. There is an Intermarché on the doorstep which was great to refuel and grab snacks for our onward journey. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you

Fabulous place with everything you need. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds. The breakfast was wonderful, so much to eat and a lovely terrace to eat on. The location is great as it was just off the main road. The host was so lovely she advised us on places to eat locally. The accommodation is separate from the Host house so it didn't feel like staying in someone's house, it felt private. Lastly the pool ..... it was absolutely wonderful and real bonus to a beautiful place. L’esprit du Clain had all the luxury without the price tag! I would stay here again and again, maybe 2 nights next time to explore the area more.

A very comfortable stay in a tranquil setting.

This was our second time at L’Esprit du Clain and this time we stayed for longer. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. Everything is modern and fresh. The bed was extremely comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble and the welcome is lovely. Everywhere is clean and well looked after. The pool is super and the grounds are lovely. Breakfast is ample and varied. The property is well situated for visiting highlights of the region. We appreciated the use of the small kitchen so we could prepare lunch or an evening meal.

Everything was wonderful. The house is so peaceful with beautiful gardens and relaxing pool. Super clean, bed was sooo comfy. Host very friendly and accommodating. A bit in the middle of nowhere so you'd need a car to get around. Very good value for money!

This is one of the best places I have stayed in . A Beautiful space with an excellent host . Peaceful , well designed room , great bed , a pool and an amazing breakfast . Absolutely perfect stopover close to Autoroute

Liked everything about this B&B, firstly the owner was really lovely, she’s created an amazing guest accommodation with spotless, modern ensuite bedrooms and a communal lounge and dining area for guests with a kitchenette - everything is contemporary and done with no small detail overlooked, absolutely loved her style. Mattress was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on - a memory foam one made in France. We arrived quite late in the day which was a shame as we only had a short time to enjoy the lovely pool before sunset. Owner happy to store our bikes in garage overnight which was great. Breakfast was a such a delight - pastries, bread, cheese, yoghurt, muesli and fruit served, all top notch. Thank you for a great start to our holiday.

we did not want to leave

Everything was perfect. Our holiday started the time we arrived. Very welcoming host, secure private parking, very calm, beautiful area, perfectly clean, nice decore. We loved the pool and our son and our grandmother both enjoyed looking at all the animals, which live next door (cats, dogs, horses). For those who do not like animals, they are not disturbing at all: they are very calm and not around the hotel area. Breakfast was lovely. A supermarket is about 2 min away. We definetely want to visit again and stay longer next time.

Our only concern was that the two rooms we booked were on different floors so we had to split up - with each parent sleeping in the same room as one of the kids.
