Poppy at Oakdene Forest Park

Exceptionally clean

Location is perfect for beaches, new forest, moors valley park, paulton’s park, etc. The caravan was comfortable for the four of us, with two bathrooms (one an en suite) as well as a kitchen and veranda to sit out on.

There were limited kitchen cutlery, crockery, glasses and mugs. I accept that the caravan only slept four people but it would have been useful to have had more. The oven had the grill door missing. And the fridge didn’t seem to get very cold (it may have been that it was an exceptionally warm weekend). Whilst the veranda was nice, the whole area could have done with a good clean. Particularly as it’s a nice facility to have, along with an egg chair (which had seen better days). It would have also been nice to have had some outside chair cushions to be able to sit outside. Whilst none of the above were issues that spoilt our weekend, for the price we paid (which was expensive for two nights) there were some basics I would have expected to have been met.

The beds were super comfy, had a great night sleep!

The doors stuck a little bit so the you gets ones got a bit stuck In The loos but they are only little, the decking also creaked quite a bit.

Oakdene site is quiet and pleasant, plenty of greenery and out door space.

This is my 3rd stay at Oakdene and this time was disappointing. No towels, tea towels, no tea, coffee, sugar etc or any welcome gesture. 1 bath mat for 2 bathrooms. Very basic cooking equipment, oven door broken, blinds and curtain rail broken. Not much crockery for a family. The caravan needs a deep clean, showers, window frames , air vents, as does the terrace. No parasol or cushions for outdoor furniture. Worse of all no leisure passes included to access the bar, restaurant pools etc which are included by other owners.
