The location was fantastic! Access to the forest was wonderful
This place is absolutely disgusting! It is filthy dirty, every surface is covered in some kind of debris. On speaking with the owner (who didn't really want to know) he suggested I clean it myself.
There was urine on the toilets
Every kitchen cupboard had food all over it
The place was full of dog hair
Dust killed me with allergies..
Hairbands In the toaster
The oven gloves probably needed testing for unique cultures of alien lifeforms...
Every mirror and window was finger print and hardly gave any reflection as you couldn't see through filth.
The owner claimed it was a one off but this place has historical problems with cleaning, it was ground in and definitely not a one of!
Genuinely I can not stress how absolutely dirty this place was .
I took my shoes off and my socks were COVERED in filth..
I am in process of obtaining a full refund as it was horrendous. It had not been cleaned from the previous occupants and there was food everywhere!!
The passes for the club house were very expensive and you even needed one to buy a beer at the bar.. for our stay one day pass was £12.50 .. we only wanted a drink.
Genuinely avoid at all costs.

Location
It wasn’t clean we had to clean the toilets before we could use them, one in particular had splatters all up it !
We also had to wash the dishes they had dried food on them !
All the air fans were thick with dirt and grime
We in fact left early

Loved location of accommodation, nice and quiet, easy reach of forest walks and club house,
Great kitchen, fab comfy bed, shower, hot water and heating was spot on. Brilliant for dog walks, and Club house is dog friendly too.
Great base to explore surrounding areas
Highly recommend
The only couple of things were,
Cleanliness wasn't up to scratch, with a fair amount of dust in bedroom, long dark hairs left in shower, dirty around ceiling area above bath and the sofa in lounge was rather uncomfortable to sit or relax on, sorry !!!!
But don't let that put you off, it wasn't that bad but noticeable

We were happy with the Accommodation.
Lovely position on the site.
Walking in the beautiful forest was free
Horrified by the Resort charges to use the facilities.
Everything from the sites' own shop to the Bar, Restaurant , pool etc could only be accessed by buying a card.

The home is in a really nice spot in the corner, so it felt private with its own garden space, not being overlooked. The park is on the side of the forest, so it had a big space to have a good walk.
The home was very well equipped and even had a bath, which was unexpected. There was a washing machine and dishwasher. Everything you would need to cook along with tea, coffee, sugar, etc.
Easy to access with the key box and Roger was very responsive.
Beds were comfortable. Ample storage space and a good sized living room. Great size kitchen.
Nice big balcony although sadly couldn't make much use as was raining a lot.
Despite the home itself being very well equipped, it unfortunately wasn't very clean. The fridge was very dirty, with leftover food and tomato seeds all over the shelves. The toilet in the ensuite had been poorly cleaned, as well as other areas. All doors have dirty finger marks. Hairs everywhere.
I had to buy some cleaning items since there were no extra cloths or cleaning spray. I was reimbursed for this by the owner.
The sofa was uncomfortable and partly broken.
I hadn't realised that towels were not included but luckily we had swim towels but that meant having damp towels from swimming.
I was also surprised that none of the park activities were included. We had to pay £85 for the 4 of us to swim but even to go in the bar or restaurant. So essentially, it cost £40 for an hour swim as we managed to go twice, given access to the other areas doesn't give you anything, just the pleasure to order and pay them money. The mini golf was also an extra.

The position of the property in the park was perfect. It was in a nice and quiet spot and not overlooked.
I guess it felt very dated and full of the owners Knick knacks, not lending itself to shelf/storage space. The property, especially the main bathroom was a bit dirty and dusty. The kitchen utensils, especially the cutlery was sadly lacking, given it can sleep 6. The sofa was not at all comfortable to sit on. We couldn’t get the washing machine door open but didn’t want to force it, so we couldn’t do any washing. Although there was linen for the beds, surprisingly there were no bath towels. As I came from Australia, we had to buy towels so we could have a shower. Although, there is information on the Violet 28 booking page, that park amenities have a cost, we were appalled at the price you have to pay, just to use the pool, bar and restaurant. I’ve stayed in many parks like this one but never had to pay extraordinary prices to use the facilities.

The location, the layout of 28 Violet, the relaxing environment, just what we needed.
The bed was nice and comfy and the caravan was equipped with everything we would ever need.
Lovely security for the dogs on the balcony to watch the world go by.
Having breakfast on the balcony was a dream.
Walks around the site and in the forest.

Breakfast on site was great
Nothing much that we didn't like except the smell of nicotine in caravan was a little strong to start with but the caravan on the whole was excellent

Beautiful spot in the park felt more private than some of the other homes. Had everything we needed and having the bath was great. Bed very comfortable. Gorgeous walks in the forest literally on the doorstep. Loved that it was pet friendly too. Excellent water pressure and heating. Lovely and tidy too!
Sofa and chair in living area not very comfortable and could have done with some cushions for outside furniture. A bbq would have been nice to use in the side garden. But these things wouldn't put us off staying here again.

Fantastic location, very peaceful, home from home. Loved the personal touches. Had all the necessities, cleaning products, toilet roll, etc. Even dog bowls provided! ( We did bring our own)..Met the host, lovely man, super fast to respond when I had a question. We will be back ! 😊
The settee & chair in lounge area very uncomfortable 😣

Very well equipped park home. Lots of crockery and glassware and appliances. Air fryer, halogen oven as well as conventional oven and microwave. Coffee maker takes dolce gusto pods. Owner very kindly left some pods as well as tea bags, kitchen roll and a couple of dishwasher pods, cleaning cloths and washing up liquid. These little touches really make a difference Best suited for a family of 4 as the sofa bed is not luxurious and is used as the main sofa during the day. This is a home from home so don’t be surprised to find a lot of the owners nik naks around.

The caravan was very nicely located, a large green space on one side and a short walk from the sit facilities. There was plenty of space with 2 bathrooms to choose from and a cosy feel all round. Roger left a bottle of bubbly on the table for us which was a lovely surprise for our Christmas break. Roger was also very good at communicating in the run up to our stay which was appreciated.
The caravan as a whole was not as clean as I would have expected for a property that is being let out. The bathrooms were in need of a deep clean and the hoover smelt absolutely horrendous when used. We tried to sweep instead but were unable to find a dustpan and brush.

It was a beautiful park home in a secluded private corner of the park. It was large, well equipped and comfortable. One of the bedrooms even had an ensuite with a bath. We just got back from a long weekend. It was home from home. Good Central heating system and hot water. Separate shower room. Dog friendly. WiFi throughout the park. Supermarket on site. Great location for New Forest and coast. All within 15-20 minutes drive. We will definitely be back.
There was nothing to dislike.

The park is lovely as been to this camp site before it's perfect quiet and perfect location the oakdean forest park.
The amount of dog hair and was not clean messaged the owner about washing machine was full of dog hair and dirt and was told it's new washer but I have pictures of it, also took pictures of the problems there and so much clutter.
Bathroom TV does not work as shown in pictures working in collection when booking. Told not been working for ages when asked owner.

Lovely quiet location in a corner and great for watching wildlife. Homely, well equipped accommodation for 3 adults and a very nervous dog. Excellent communication with the owner.
Nothing, it was ideal.
7.0 / 10.0
LOved the location of the park and the caravan within the park. Its brilliant for dog walks in Hurn forest which is connected to the park, and various beaches on south coast near bournemouth are within 30 mins drive and New Forest is also within 30 mins.
Didn't like that we had to pay a charge to use park facilities such as pool, cafe and bar/restaurant. It was fine, just disappointing.
When we stayed here in October 2021 the caravan was spotless, this time rounds wasn't the same. The bedding, hand towels and tea towels were clean and fresh. However, the bathroom sinks had toothpaste on them, the bathroom smelt funny, some of window ledges inside weren't cleaned, kitchen window looked like it has been wiped with a dishcloth and the outside table on decking wasnt cleaned at all. So with all these little things it didn't feel as nice as it was the first time we stayed here, which was a shame

The location was really good quite loved the woods squirrels around us varrander outside area was great. Great communication from the owner and also provided us with cot and high chair for our stay for our 17 month old
Cleaness of the property was not great poo around toilet cobwebs in main bedroom floor under chair crumbs under neath also could smell dog had to go out get cleaning products and clean property
I think less personal belongings would be good less clutter also had no where to put our stuff food etc in kitchen cupboards

The location is ideal for visiting the New Forest, Poole and Bournemouth. The caravan is in a quiet spot on the site and you can do forest walls direct from the park. Ideal location to take bikes. Local amenities are good with several supermarkets within a couple of miles, Starbucks up the road and some pubs within easy reach
The caravan wasn’t quite as clean as the last time we visited. There seemed to be quite a bit of pet hair on the cushions. Shorefield, owners of the campsite charge a ridiculous amount of money for day passes (£13 approx for an adult) to use the facilities so we didn’t use them. We were unable to pay to just use the pool.

The location was stunning, the beds were comfortable and the WI-FI was very good. Very dog friendly and the side entrance was perfect.
Lack of towels, appliances complicated to work and the sofa was uncomfortable.

Perfect location for Bournemouth, we visited twice. The park is good too and dog friendly. We were able to go to the clubhouse and see the entertainment, without our passes, however we couldnt use the pool, but there is a good one 5 minutes away in Ferndown. Quiet location and it is well kitted out with dishwasher and washing machine. Showers are good too. There is a nice veranda around the property so kids and dog could go outside without running off. Roger was very easy to communicate with and help, if we needed him.
We were happy with everything and would definitely consider staying again. A few more washing tablets or bin bags might be an idea as buying from the local shop on site is quite expensive especially when only staying for a couple of days.

Great location in the park- we reckon it must be the best plot. Spacious for us and our young family. And well equipped.
Needed park passes to access some of the facilities on site, which we couldn't work out. Not sure if we should have had these or not. It didn't affect our stay but some more information on that would have been helpful.
