After our 3 night stay there is not much to add to the previous reviews: almost all is true! We too loved the place, the room is spotlessly clean, location away from busy Ella but still reachable by train, the cool air, view from the balcony and the family is lovely!
Our disappointment was breakfast: the advertised picture is NOT what you get. Reality was 2 bananas (daily) and 2 egg-covered toasts or roti with cooked onions (which were indeed the BEST we had in our 4 weeks travels!) but not more. At least some fresh fruit in the country with abundant fruit would have been lovely, too. E. g. papaya is one of the cheapest fruit you can get in SL and all tourists will love it since we do not get this back home (compared to bananas 😫).
Another info: be prepared to pay extra for a bottle of water (next to a kettle!) in the end. Yes, it was 5l but if you put it in a room to use, mark it as to pay for or leave it. We had water in almost every accommodation we stayed in but never had to pay for it (we know it’s not much but just the way they handle it (didn’t even ask if we had used it in the first place) unfortunately left a negative impression with this otherwise great stay.
