We had a lovely relaxing time. It’s a bit dated but the staff breakfast and surrounding was great. Definitely would recommend it.

Weren’t warned that parking under very large tree could result in very thick dark sticky bird poo (not your usual small white splashes!) in the morning which was very difficult to remove and led to scratching our new car. This can’t have been the first time it happened and parking was restricted so several cars had no choice where to park. As this is a common problem surely netting or some sort of barrier would be helpful?! If we had had a soft top car or were in a rush to leave for a wedding or some other occasion without time to clean it we would have been even more unhappy. Our room wasn’t cleaned. Apparently we should have been asked at breakfast if we wanted it cleaned. We weren’t. But I think they were short staffed that day. The rooms were clean but not to a high standard. The glasses in the room were dirty. There were a lot of cobwebs. The shower was difficult to get the right temperature to be enjoyable. Too hot or too cold. It would be easy to replace with a thermostatic valve. The hand held shower could do with being replaced with a head which gives different spray options. Very difficult to exit the property by car as a wall makes vision difficult. Swimming pool very small. Probably refreshing on a hot day. Hot tub probably over chlorinated. The whole pool area needed keeping tidier and cleaner to be able to enjoy. Walls to pavilion rooms not soundproof. Basic tea/coffee options in room but nothing decaff or fruit teas so bought our own. And as room wasn’t cleaned it wasn’t easy to clean the mugs each time we needed a drink.
