Very spacious, clean and comfortable room. The family working there were brilliant, always offering to help and even brought me some food to celebrate the new year! Loved my stay here.

It is very far away from the main area of Ella, up a hill. The trade off was worth it for me as it’s peaceful and has incredible views, but it’s worth noting.

Authentisches Homestay in den Bergen von Ella, welches von einer liebevollen und super hilfsbereiten Familie betrieben wird. Das Zimmer mit Badezimmer und eigenem Balkon bietet viel Platz zum entspannen und war makellos sauber. Wer zudem sehr großen Hunger hat, kommt hier definitiv auf seine Kosten. Die Portiongrößen sind riesig und das Essen ist abwechslungsreich. Wer eine authentische Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, abseits des Trubels in Ella haben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist unschlagbar.

Mit einer gesunden Erwartungshaltung gibt es nichts an dieser Unterkunft auszusetzen.

Host family was incredibly kind and truly enjoy hosting guests. We stayed for 5 nights and had dinner each night meals were all massive portions and each unique and delicious( they told us they grow almost everything including the rice). Had a lovely stay with a lovely family. They are the nicest family we have met in Sri Lanka. The wild life around the room is truly amazing, we have seen more animals than we have never seen before in Sri Lanka right here at our homestay. The giant squirrels they have are so cool! The monkey family’s that pass by every now and again are truly wild monkeys and not aggressive like some other monkeys. The just brought us fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice throughout the day which was such a nice surprise and treat.

Truly had a lovely stay but just a heads up if you are in a time crunch in the mornings order breakfast 30minutes earlier than you think.

Away from hustle and bustle of Ella town, Dulmini homestay is a quiet and clean family run homestay set within a forest. We had a lovely experience waking up to the sounds of birds, being greeted by the giant squirrels and enjoying hearty home cooked meals. The family who run the stay are very friendly and quick to help! Will be recommending this stay to anyone who wants to experience a stay that is truly local and family run.

We experienced a power cut for several hours- not a major issue since Ella is cool enough without fans. The family also provided an emergency light / power bank once it turned dark.
