Below you will find details about our 2 bed/ 2 bath home, Pete’s Mission Beach Getaway, located in Mission Beach.

Yes, you can have it all! Enter Pete's and be transported to your San Diego beach getaway. Wake up to the smells from the bakery below, Olive Bakery and the sounds of the sea. Conveniently located right between the Pacific Ocean and beautiful Sail Bay, just a block to either one and about a half mile North of historic Belmont Park with amusement and entertainment!

The light and airy living room has high ceilings and skylight, tastefully and comfortably furnished with new Pergo-style wood floors. The California-style kitchen is open to the living room and has tile countertops, Saltillo tile floors and natural wood cabinets. The first bedroom has a top of the line queen bed and flat screen TV. Upstairs is a large, semi-enclosed loft area with a queen bed, sitting space, and a door to a small balcony. Upstairs you will also find a small nook with a trundle bed (two singles). Ceiling height in the trundle bed area is about 5 feet so it's best for kids. There are two bathrooms in the home, a full bath/shower downstairs and a walk-in shower upstairs.

We can provide an air conditioning unit for an additional fee. Please contact us to reserve the inventory.

No need to search for parking by the beach as this unit comes with it's own garage! Please see parking restrictions below. Extra large vehicles won't fit but there is free overnight parking a few blocks away. There is also a coin operated laundry room near the garage for your convenience. Everything you need is here to enjoy your vacation!

This location is hard to beat! It's close to all the main attractions: SeaWorld, the world famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Old Town with it's excellent restaurants, Belmont Park and it's authentic 1920's wooden roller-coaster, Seaport Village, downtown San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, the Convention Center and Petco Park. Come and enjoy all that San Diego has to offer including our unbeatable weather!

Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)

*NOTE: This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about your home!

It is important for you to read all the details about your property. The service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days. If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.

With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We appreciate your assistance in making our homes and our business unlike any other!
Guest has access to entire condo, shared garage, and coin operated laundry.

Policies & What to Expect

Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)
Check out time is 11 am.
Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call!

Nightly Minimum Policy:
2-4 night minimum required in the off season. 

☀️ Holidays 
5 night minimum. There are no arrivals on Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day.

☀️ Summer: 
Memorial Day - Labor Day, 5 night minimum. No arrivals on Independence Day (July 4).

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy. 

To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest’s face and holding either a Driver’s License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.

This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

🐾 Pet Policy: Pets are NOT permitted at this property. Guests who bring a pet that is not a service animal will be fined by the HOA.

Rate Policy: Prices change on a daily basis so the rates you see today may be higher or lower when booking!

Age Policy: We do not typically rent to guests under the age of 25 or large parties. Please contact us prior to booking to see how we may accommodate your group.

After booking:
We manage properties on behalf of our owners. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete.     Nice place and good communication with management. Parking is tight in the garage, if your renting an SUV, it wont fit. Would stay again.

    Location was a ideal (unless you want to see the beach from the Unit). Cute restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Large unit with one proper bedroom (with a door) and a loft (which is open to everything in the unit). Everything was quirky and dated but clean for the most part. The trundle bed was broken and it was amazing to us that someone made the bed and didn’t report the repair (we did). Communication with host was a bit tedious. They called several times prior to arrival which felt unnecessary. Note: even if you book on VRBO you have to do everything (even pay balances etc) on their platform. All of the codes to doors, lock etc are intermingled throughout the arrival document which make referencing the codes not ideal. The arrival doc will only be available exactly at the check-in time (or at least that’s what the rep said on the phone but it didn’t arrive til 30 mins after we could have checked in and only after we called repeatedly and messaged at the check in time). The checkout list will make you question if they have a cleaning service. The bikes were a great perk, however one was broken thankfully there were 3 working bikes and 3 of us.

    Close to the beach, beach amenities including chairs umbrellas, body boards and towel. Appreciated thee bathroom amenities including shampoo conditioner body wash, tp and many other. Wee Loved it.

    We had to have plumbers come in and correct drain issues. We were not able to use sinks, shower for several hours I requested a 1 hour later check out and they let me know it would be $20 additional. In my opinion that was poor judgement and if anyone should be reimbursed for inconvenience it should be me. It was a nice place though.

    Way too loud! Property is ok. Location is ok. Two loud parties in the building. Had to call police after trying to reason with tenant. Samething the next night. Called and spoke with rental company-they said all they could do is let other leasing agent aware of situation-which I totally understand but that obviously did not help me. First time doing a VRBO. Will not do one again. I will always do a hotel

    Location was awesome. Beach on one side and the cove on the other. Bikes are useless. Unless you’re shots are up to day, I would not and did not touch those rusty things. Boogie board and chairs were awesome. Extra charge for air conditioning for a $400 plus per night place was ridiculous. $35 per day. Next time I will just add that to the nightly rate and find a spot with AC. Overall, there was plenty of room. 3.8 out of 5.
