Mini paradise in Përmet

The location was perfect, in a quiet street away from the noises of the cars or bars. It was extremely clean, and the facilities were nice. The bed was very comfortable. The garden was extremely beautiful, full of flowers even though it was August. The breakfast was ok, with several jam options, fried eggs, butter, cheese, tomatoes cucumbers, and a fantastic home made cake. The villa itself was very welcoming exactly as the hosts Ilir and Mirela were. I would say to the hosts to keep up the fantastic work they are doing.

A very very small fix is needed to the shower so that the water is not leaking on the floor. For breakfast there were many options but having bacon, sausages or hams would have been better

Beautiful, modern country house in the heart of Permet

The host speaks English and is very friendly. The location is perfect, near the center of Permet. Ideal to explore the village, and has quick access by car to Llixhat e Bënjës thermal pools. The room's facilities are modern, with air conditioner, TV, refrigerator, and a very comfortable bed. We also had a beautiful mountain view from our window.

The pillows were very large and tall, making them a bit uncomfortable to sleep in any position other than belly up.

Super stay for reasonable price!

There is literally nothing that would somehow spoil our impression. Available parking on the territory, a very pleasant host, proper breakfast and a cozy room. The place is located pretty close to the city center, but the town is rather small, so everything seems close :)

We were out a bit late around 11, because of the late arrival, and came back when the entrance door was closed. We had to call the host and that was alright, but we felt bad because we probably already disturbed the family. I guess in such cases would be good to have a spare key to the entrance.

Excellent breakfast and a very caring hostess. She gave us local treats to sample when we arrived. Breakfast was all the usual plus cereals, 4 home made jams and an orange flavoured cake. Best breakfast we’ve had in Albania. Comfortable chairs on the patio…great place to relax. Great value

A very nice family hotal very close to the center of Permet. Joan is a kind host, welcomes you with raki and dried fruits. The rooms are very nice and clean, hardly any noice. Breakfast is delicious and you can eat on the terras outside.

Amazing!

Really clean bathroom and room, very nice bed. Breakfast is amazing, the hosts made us feel welcome. We sat on the porch and read a book, ot was a beautiful place with a nice garden and comfortable chairs.

The location is perfect if you want peace and quiet. If you want to go to the little town center it's less than 5 minutes by car.

Lovely front garden and porch - views over mountains. Hosts were very nice, helped us with transport to the hot springs and the bus to Tirana.

Super nice host who made us feel welcome and gave us a great advise of where to eat, the room smelt nice, it was super clean, the plus was the shower screen and the shower in general. Great breakfast too! Ps : super nice chilling cat

We enjoyed our roundtrip through Albania and Joan Guesthouse was the best accommodation we had. We stayed for 2 nights with our family (4 children age 2-12y). We booked tweo 3-person bedrooms. They were very convenient. Airco worked well, nice shower, very clean, enough space. The owners of the hotel were more than friendly. They loved our kids. Friends of ours needed to leave early morning, so they prepared breakfast for them. They helped us in getting around, called the rafting company if their was space for us, etc. The little veranda is so nice to enjoy the evenings. Breakfast has enough choice. We look back on a great stay at Joan Guesthouse and would really recommend this place.

A swimming pool would make this accommodation perfect for a family with young children ;-) But the hot springs and river (15 minutes drive) were a good alternative.
