Beautiful Beachfront Condo in the Heart of Playa Del Carmen!!!

The host was very responsive. The location is fantastic, near every thing!!!! Loved it

Great place on the beach, within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, grocery, etc. Nice view of the Caribbean and pool area. Beach directly in front of El Faro is submerged, eroded away, with intermittent construction repairs to the closed boardwalk area, but able to access remaining beach heading south toward ferry terminal from side of El Faro property. Excellent communication with Graham (owner), who also helped arrange our ground transport to/from airport. This was our 3rd stay at El Faro.

Our experience could not have been better. Everything was seamless. Will definitely stay again!

My fiance and I stayed at Reef 305 in the middle of February 2018 with another couple and overall, we enjoyed our time in Playa Del Carmen. I highly recommend using the grocery delivery service. Pros - Responds quickly to messages - Location of the condo can't be beat. 2 minutes and you're on 5th Ave with so many restaurants and bars - The kitchen is very well equipped with everything that you would generally use at home. There is also a 20 L water cooler provided to you at no extra cost and the condo front desk will replace it as it empties, also at no additional cost - There is a foam cooler ~2'x1'x1' which is plenty for several beverages and ice - Each room has its own air conditioning unit - Cleaning service every other day to change out sheets, provide fresh bath and beach towels, and toilet paper. They even provide you with mini shampoo, body wash, lotion, and conditioner like you would find in a hotel Cons - Our driver had some difficulty finding the condo, as did the other couple's driver and the address of the condo didn't really seem to help much. Luckily, I studied a map of the area and we spoke Spanish so when I felt the driver had gone away from the area, we were able to direct him back to the general area. - The salty air has not been friendly to the hardware in the bathrooms and the caulking in showers were moldy. The space under the shower door and the angle of the shower head makes for a wet bathroom floor - Apparently, there was a storm a few days prior to our arrival which brought in piles of seaweed and washed away some parts of the beach. To our dismay, the seaweed was just piled up by some community service people and left on the beach for the entire week we were there. Finally, a tractor on our last day came to pick up the seaweed. - The shoreline is very rocky for about 15-20 ft from the shoreline. If you swim out near one of the buoys, there is a nice sandbar that is only about knee-deep when there aren't waves. Unfortunately, there aren't any reefs to help break up waves so the water tends to be more rough. - The front desk stated that the pool/beach chairs cannot be reserved and should you place a towel or your personal belongings on a chair and walk away from the pool/beach area, you have 30 minutes to return otherwise the condo security will take them to the front desk. Unfortunately, so many towels were placed on these chairs early in the morning for several hours and not once did we see the security remove them.
