Colemans Cottage Fishery

Had all the basics. The scenery is stunning, plenty of fish. Staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Bath robes were a nice touch for getting out of the hot tub, which was heavenly.

Sofa and bed felt like they needed updating, would have been nice to have a slightly larger fridge, had to move the shelf to fit a bottle in, as they didn't fit in the door.

Hard to imagine just 5 minutes from town. So peaceful and relaxing. Pods were well equipped. We had breakfast at the on site cafe which was excellent and reasonably priced. I'd recommend to anyone. Although we didn't fish the fisherman were catching plenty. I've already booked for next year. Lovely family run place where nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing not to like.

The location is beautiful. Surrounded by two lakes, the venue is peaceful and tranquil. The glamping pod was quaint and looked just like the pictures. There could have been a little more attention to detail when it came to cleanliness, but it was pleasant enough and we were comfortable throughout our stay. The pod was stocked with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and basic toiletries, which was a thoughtful touch. There was an internet router in the pod; however, for some reason we couldn't connect to it. It wasn't too much of an issue, as we'd come to rest and recharge. The grounds are closed on Wednesdays, so staying midweek worked out well for us. There's a Tesco nearby, and the village has a few shops if you want to browse or pick up any essentials. A barbecue is provided if you fancy cooking outdoors, and there's also a microwave and fridge in the pod. There's a café on site, and you can even try fishing in the lake if that's something you enjoy. Overall, our stay gave us the much-needed rest and relaxation we were looking for. It's a lovely place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
