Camping Pods, Seaview Holiday Park

We loved our weekend in the pod! The location was incredible - we came via train and while most people seemed to have cars, it was more than do-able to explore the area on foot. The station is a simple 15 minute walk, there are pubs and shops nearby too, plus the walks to Whitstable and Herne Bay proper are lovely and only about 45 minutes (or a leisurely hour or two if stopping for ice cream, beach frolics and crabbing opportunities!). The pod was comfy and cosy (even during a thunderstorm!) and quiet at night. The facilities were decent although would be nice to have access to a fridge (would recommend bringing a mini one if coming by car!). The toilets and showers were absolutely fine - in line with most campsites. The pool was great - didn’t expect it to be heated! Kids could have spent hours in there. The live music in the main bar was fun too.

We brought a travel kettle with us but would be nice if basic facilities were provided in the pods or an optional paid for extra - it might even encourage less car use as no need to lug as much stuff! Main bar was very busy - to be expected on a bank holiday weekend but hard to get a table as lots of large groups. Not sure much can be done about this though and it’s great that it was lively.

Stay in the pods is lovely but the facilities for washing up was absolutely disgusting,

Breakfast was good, eggs on toast and a coffee every morning

The showers were disappointing, as the heads spray water everywhere except you.

Great location. Liked that there was parking next to the pod. Sheets all clean.

The room was very dusty - dust on table, built up dust on windowsills. Some of the showers in the women’s toilets could be cleaner
