Nice clean houses, with lovely food and a stunning view And not to forget super friendly staff and owner. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing, just rent a motorbike else it will be a hard walk to the hotel, its as the name says halfway a hill/mountain.

Staff were really friendly, amazing pool, great food at hotel.

The pool is huge, very nice & has a nice view! Breakfast was delicious & Lovely who served us most mornings was very attentive & smiley! We met 2 lovely couples also staying at the resort, who we went for drinks with in Get Wreaked & for a meals with at Baha Bar!

The road to the property isn’t the best! Its a good 20 minute walk from top to bottom & takes longer uphill & is pitch dark with no lights at night! You have to rent a scooter to be honest but be extremely careful as the road is just rocks near to the resort! The tricycle provided by the resort to pick us up from the ferry over charged us (750) when it should be (550) & the tricycle guy we used in town (Ariel only charged us (400) The room we were first given was very nice but had absolutely no privacy there are 2 windows directly behind the bed that have no curtains & anyone can just look in (Yes we tested it from both sides & you can clearly see outside & inside even though the window is slightly mirrored! Every single day we had to ask for our room to be cleaned, bed to be made, for fresh towels & toilet paper & our bed to be changed every week (We stayed 12 nights) We dined twice in the restaurant & it was a big mistake as the food was absolutely disgusting, the majority of the meals produced by microwave! Save yourself money & go into town there are several amazing restaurants in town Baha Bar, Thai Station & Dolce Amore (Italian) We’ve only stayed at hotel during our 4 months travelling through Asia & for the price it was very disappointing as we’ve stayed in a lot cheaper for a lot better! Also nothing special was on at the resort for Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve/New Years Day which again was disappointing as asides a tiny Christmas tree in the corner & a few hanging things that was it! If we ever return to Siquijor we will not be returning to SouthMountain Resort as there is a lovely hotel just down the road called Nakabalo which our friends stayed in & it was a million times nicer, so much so we went there most evenings for drinks & to play pool before going for dinner in town!
