About this villa rental
(3230 square foot) – private swimming pool (10x5 mt – 33x16 ft), accommodates 8 guests
A nice country road, with Cypresses on the side, leads to the Villa immersed in nature, with a gorgeous garden with barbecue and swimming pool.
It is a special place, away from the chaos of modern life, surrounded by an endless view on country fields and the old medieval Borgo of Sermugnano.
The villa is on two floors, typical of this region, it dates to the late 800, early 900 and it has been renovated respecting the original features and materials. Each room has its air conitioned.
The villa has many sport facilities to take advantage of the outdoor life: the swimming pool (10x5 mt – 33x16 ft) has a nice gazebo, chairs and sunbeds to enjoy the warm summer days. Next to it, a nice outhouse with shower room, sauna (see picture), gym equipment and bathroom. There is also a football filed (5 a side) which is very munch enjoyed by both kids and adults!
The garden offers plenty of spots where to place a volleyball net and for the less sporty guests there is a nice foosball table inside.
Ground Floor
The kitchen has a big fireplace and is equipped with every comfort, it has 3 big glass doors on the front of the house and two on the side, which lead to the BBQ corner and the vegetable garden which has plenty of spices: mint, basil, rosemary, thyme, sage, marjoram, red chillies, sage.
From the kitchen, a small corridor leads to two doors: one is a small bathroom and the other one is a big dining room furnished with late 800 pieces typical of this region. The dining room comunicates with a large porch with a big tables for eating on open air.
The big living room is just next door and it has big fireplace, with bookshelves on the side, comfortable sofas, two consoles, sofa-chairs. This cosy and elegant place has a modern touch with two hammocks which hang from old hooks in the ceiling, a memory from a time when this place used to be a stable.
First Floor
The first floor has 1 double bedroom and 3 twins’ bedrooms. All rooms have two windows and the bathroom ensuite with a large window too. They are all furnished with antique wardrobes, bed side tables, chest of drawers typical of this region.
All rooms have terracotta floors and plenty of light comes from the big windows with endless view on the Umbrian landscape. The kitchen has its original tiles from the 1930’s.

I can’t say enough good things about this property. It is everything to be imagined for a country house in Italy. The house is of stone and set on a hill overlooking a gorgeous valley. There are no nearby neighbors; through the quiet and tranquility we heard only the occasional rooster or sheep. The interior is beautiful, roomy, and nicely appointed, stocked with everything we needed for cooking, relaxing, and playing games. Everything is perfectly maintained and the pool is pristine. Patrizia was more than accommodating, going out of her way to help our stay be as perfect as it was.

This stunning Villa is well maintained. In good taste and comfort. We loved it all. There are many different areas for different activities- from active sport to total dreamy relaxation- Patrizia thought of it all. The Villa is secluded but the next village is a short drive away with shops, cafe and all. I hope to come again!

Had a fantastic relaxing stay, lovely quiet area so definitely need a car, small super market a short drive away. Large super market in Orvieto. The house had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing. Pool is amazing and cleaned regularly every morning.

The house and property are beautiful and well appointed. It's very private and the views are breathtaking.
You can spend hours in the pool just admiring the pool.
I was extremely hot when we visited, but the bedroom air conditioners made sleeping quite enjoyable. All four bedrooms come with ensuite bathrooms.
It's a short 20 minute drive into Orvieto and the little town of Castiglione In Taverina is 5 minutes away and has a couple of good, relaxed, fun restaurants.
You're going to really enjoy staying here!
