Avoid this place – bedbugs, unprofessional host, and unfair charges.

I had a very bad experience at this property. During my stay I discovered bedbugs and suffered multiple bites. The host was defensive and unhelpful when informed and refused to take responsibility. I also had part of my deposit unfairly deducted without explanation. I do not recommend this place due to poor hygiene, safety concerns and unprofessional communication.

Dirty and not good value for money

I can't actually think of one good thing to say about this property except that there were nice views as long as you didn't look down into the neighbours yard.

This property was very depressing. I did not feel safe in the area.The property itself was grubby. The bed linen did not smell clean. The towels were not very big and also dud not feel clean. The bathroom was disgusting. Linoleum on the floor was lifting due to water damage. There was mould on the glass shower screen. The sink had mould around the taps, the ceiling was flaking and the toilet didn't flush properly. The carpets were old and tired and felt dirty under foot. The microwave was rusted and the kitchen did not feel clean. I refused to cook in the kitchen. There was mould on the inside of the bedroom window, presumably from condensation. There was a one hundred and fifty pounds damages bond that had to be paid before we could get in. What an insult! I absolutely would not recommend this property.

A practical, basic house with lots of room, only 30 minutes from Edinburgh City Centre.

The estate the property is in looks tired and we were initially concerned but didn't need to be. The house is tucked away and it was a very quiet location with some good views over the valleys. The property had everything we required including decent wifi.

Unfortunately, there was a mix-up in booking and whilst we were there, a group of workmen arrived for the week and we had to explain to them we were staying. The view from one of the windows was across to a neighbour whose existence seemed to be purely for collecting bin bags in his front garden - not great, but that's the only thing we didn't like!!

Only housekeeping service in three weeks was a bed and towel change weekly. Really????? One bath towel for a WEEK. No trash collection, nor floors swept. View out the living room window was looking at piled up trash at neighbor behind. Looked terrible not to mention probably very unhealthy. No walk in shower. Tub is way too high for older clients. Flushing toilet with a bucket not a good thing either.

Lovely house for a week or a few days in the West Lothian

Very cosy appartement. Everything is clean and complete. All you need for a few days stay. Good and clear directions to get to the house (it's a bit hidden if you don't know where to look). Quiet neighborhood even though it looks a bit rundown it is actually just fine. It was nice and warm inside, no need to bring a jumper! And even though I am very tall (over 2 meters) I could comfortably take a shower and sleep in the bed.

The caulking in the bathroom should probably be redone. And maybe a small living room table could be added to put a drink or some snacks.

That is was close to wear I needed to be.

It was in a very dirty area. Looking out the window at bags of rubbish and old furniture. The house smelt of damp and hadnt been cleaned in a long time. The windows on the room were all damp. The paint on the sills was flaking. The fence outside was all rotten and broken. The oven inside was disgusting. The whole house inside and out need a revamp. Plus the neighbourhood needs a good clean up.

Great for value of money for busy schedule stay, friendly owner easy to contact. Property facilities well organised and clean. I would recommend to have access to own car during the stay. Public transport is good walking distance from property. Overall street/neighbourhood was friendly and quiet.

No garden for outside activities.
