About this apartment rental
The Playamar Romantico apartment offers beach fans who love the Playa and also want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle the best opportunity to still live and sleep in an oasis of calm.
Because the approx. 92 sqm Playamar Romantico is located in the newest and most spacious residential area just above the (beach) district of Punta Brava, the fishing village of Puerto de la Cruz.
There is also the beautiful Playa Jardin (garden beach), known throughout Europe, an optimally successful mixture of parkland and beach. Beautiful garden-like parks lead into several long, palm-filled beaches with fine black sand, which were also designed very individually. Here you can linger in the shade of the palm trees after your swimming excursions into the sea. You feel a little bit like a Caribbean beach. At Playa Jardin, nature is perfectly linked to the desire for beach life.
Another gem, and one of the most famous landmarks of Tenerife, is the truly world-famous Loro Parque animal and landscape park, some of which is directly opposite Playa Jardin.
It is about a 10-minute walk from the Playamar Romantico to the Playa Jardin and to the Loro Parque.
A terrace of the Playamar Romantico is open from the east to the southwest. Here you can have breakfast in the morning and enjoy the sun until shortly after noon, framed by green plants.
And from the large main terrace you have incredible and unobstructed views over the roofs of Punta Brava, to the side of the sea of plants of Loro Parque, to the beach and over the coast.
And a large pool, framed by greenery, rounds off the offer of this large apartment.
Between the terraces and the pool area you have sun from sunrise to sunset.
The apartment is fully and completely furnished and equipped down to the last detail:
Living room: two sofas, table. Large satellite television with dozens of German-language programs. Radio stereo. Internet connection for your laptop, smartphone, etc. with 10 megabyte flow rate per second and for as many devices as you have.
Dining area: table with very comfortable chairs.
Terrace: Very comfortable rattan furniture.
Kitchen: electric stove with four hobs and oven. Very large fridge freezer, washing machine. Complete set of dishes, cutlery, glasses, coffee machine, toaster, corkscrew, bottle opener, etc. Hot water, of course.
First bedroom: Two comfortable large beds together with comfortable new mattresses, each 190 x 90 cm (note for particularly tall people: the beds have no fixed edge at the foot end. So hanging your feet doesn't hurt!). 2 night cabinets with lamps. Large wardrobe. Small built-in safe for documents, jewelry, camera, etc. The safe is built into the wall (and not, as is so often the case, only attached to the cupboard), so it is a real safe. Full-length mirror.
Second bedroom: two beds, each 190 x 80 cm (can be separated or put together). Bedside table with lamp. Wardrobe.
Bathroom: Spacious shower. Sink. Large bathroom cabinet. Hairdryer. Separate mirror with pull-out "telescopic arm" for styling at the back of the head.
Other: Tile floors that are easy to keep clean.
The apartment has a washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes horse and cleaning supplies, detergents, etc. for your use if you want.
Sufficient bed linen and towels as well as beach towels, and also a cooler bag and a shopping trolley are available and are included in the rental price.
The apartment also has a garage space in the underground garage - of course also included in the price.

We loved Puerto de la Cruz and the beaches near the apartment. The apartment is comfortable and as described although could do with a microwave and dishwasher and DVD player. There were no decent English speaking channels on the TV which felt a bit unwelcoming but the WIFI was good in most rooms (but not front bedroom) so we were glad we had a laptop etc to watch films etc. We had the use of a lovely shared pool which was very quiet. However the rules of the complex say you must only use the 2 loungers named for your apartment and we couldn’t find any for ours so sat anywhere and then got thrown off by a miserable elderly German couple! The only disadvantage to the apartment is not in the description and should be. If you don’t have a car to use, you obviously have to walk everywhere we were happy to do. However although the apartment is about 10/15 mins walk from the beach, it is down quite a steep hill and of course up again at the end of the day. There is a good Lidl supermarket about 15 mins walk up the hill. These walls were fine for us with teenagers but might be quite tough for older visitors or young children. I feel that this should be on the description and it should not be assumed that everyone hires a car. We didn’t need one and used a friendly taxi a couple of times in the evening. A lovely peaceful restful holiday but bring your laptop for TV and be ready for the steep hills if you are not hiring a car!

Stayed in a nice apartment which is located near Lora Parc and the beach at Playa Jardin. Apartment was clean and well equipped in a quite location. Eddi the owner was great and arranged our transport to and from the airport.

Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war ausgezeichnet; es gab schnelle Reaktionen auf Nachfragen und regelmäßige Informationen vor Reiseantritt, bis hin zur ausführlichen Anfahrtsbeschreibung mit der Warnung vor “Blitzern”.
Von der Wohnung zur nächsten Autobahnabfahrt sind es nur ca. 3 km. Es gibt ein paar kleine, etwas versteckte Restaurants mit gutem Essen. Das Notwendigste kann man im Ort einkaufen; nächster größerer Supermarkt am Weg zur Autobahn ist Lidl. Die Selbstversorgung ist kein Problem, zumal die Läden lange geöffnet sind und man auch am Wochenende einkaufen kann. Man kann von der Wohnung aus in westlicher Richtung an der Küste entlangwandern oder in nordöstlicher Richtung an der Strandpromenade nach Puerto de la Cruz. Gut auch als Joggingstrecke zu nutzen.
Zwischen Punta Brava und Puerto de la Cruz liegt der bewachte Sandstrand (schwarzer feiner Sand) der in ca. 15 min zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Die Wohnung verfügt über alles Notwendige, bis hin zu Waschmaschine und Staubsauger. Der Kühlschrank ist groß genug. Im Wohnzimmer befindet sich ein Fernseher mit deutschen Satellitenprogrammen, eine Stereo-Anlage und 2 Sofas aus Leder. In den Schlafzimmern gibt es reichlich Stauraum, alles praktisch eingerichtet. Insgesamt macht die Wohnung einen gepflegten, sauberen Eindruck. Die Terrasse vorn ist als Sonnenplatz und Raucherecke brauchbar. Der Balkon ist großzügig; wir haben jeden Tag dort gegessen, mit Blick auf das Meer, den Pool und Puerto de la Cruz. Wie schon von anderen berichtet, ist die Begrüßung der absolute Höhepunkt. Man meldet sich im Büro und wird nach den Formalitäten mit dem Auto zur Wohnung geleitet. Dort war nicht nur eine große Schale mit Obst, sondern auch noch Wein und eine Schale mit Süßigkeiten vorhanden. Einige Lebensmittel befanden sich bereits im Kühlschrank, so dass man nach der Ankunft nicht gleich einkaufen muss. Das haben wir auch in besseren Hotels noch nie erlebt und ist große Klasse. Die Einweisung war umfassend und nett. Leider haben sich die Flugzeiten beim Abflug bei uns mehrfach verschoben. Auch das war kein Problem; wir konnten also noch ein paar Stunden länger bleiben und mussten nicht irgendwo mit dem Gepäck herumhängen. Auch dafür vielen Dank an die großzügigen Gastgeber. Fazit: Die Wohnung ist verkehrsgünstig gelegen, gepflegt und gut ausgestattet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut -sehr gut, der Service sehr gut. Wir haben die Wahl nicht bereut und können den Aufenthalt dort guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Hallo Eddi und Luci,
wir haben uns in der Playamar Romantico sehr wohl gefühlt. Eine ruhige, gepflegte Anlage mit schönem Blick auf’s Meer. Schon im Vorfeld sehr netter Kontakt und umfangreiche Anreiseinformationen. Super netter Empfang mit Erstausstattung im Kühlschrank, gut gefülltem Obstkorb und anderen Leckereien sowie Rotwein und Begrüßungssekt. Sowas haben wir bislang noch nicht erlebt. Gute Wohnungsausstattung, für Selbstversorger war alles vorhanden.
Ein guter Standort um die Insel zu erkunden, was wir in den 3 Wochen unseres Aufenthalts ausgiebig getan haben. Das war unser erster Aufenthalt auf Teneriffa und bestimmt nicht unser letzter. Sehr abwechslungsreiche Insel. Wir sagen Danke an Eddi und sein freundliches Team.
