The Postcard Mandalay Hall, Kochi

Beautiful property, excellent food and facilities, great location.

The hotel features one of the most beautifully designed rooms we have ever stayed in — every detail felt carefully curated and thoughtfully executed. The interiors were elegant, unique, and full of character, with incredible artwork throughout the property that made the entire experience feel almost like staying inside a private gallery. The atmosphere was peaceful, refined, and incredibly stylish without ever feeling pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you notice new details every time you look around. The selection of amenities was also excellent, adding even more comfort and personality to the stay. The restaurant was lovely as well, and the overall experience left such a strong impression on us that we would genuinely love to travel and explore more properties from The Postcard hotel brand in the future.

The only downside was the laundry service. I gave the hotel three items for washing and dry cleaning, but later they informed me that they did not actually offer proper dry-cleaning services and would instead attempt to clean the items manually. Unfortunately, two of the three pieces were ruined in the process. It appeared that my beige pants and white shirt had been washed together with blue silk pants, and everything came back tinted blue. They did not charge us for the service but this was very disappointing, especially considering the otherwise high standard of the hotel.

The Postcard Mandalay Hall is divine! I loved every minute of my stay and it felt like home.

The hotel is well located in the pedestrian only street of Jew Town lined with little antique stores, spice stores and near the Synagogue so a generally charming area. It is about a 10 minute tuk tuk ride to fort kochi and these are always readily available. Special mention to the team - from the manager to service staff and chef - all were warm, extremely hospitable & helpful manger. The food at the restaurant is also really good & well flavoured. nice for local food dinner option even if you are not staying at the hotel. The room was spacious and the snack corner well stocked with a nice tea & coffee set up

The hotel in terms of facilities is very limited - it is a compact space with no area for a common hangout or any activity that one can do within hotel. could be something simple like a reading room, market visit & cooking class with chef, table tennis table or indoors game room - something for guests to do when they are within premises.
