We originally planned to stay only one night, but after realizing that this is truly one of the best hotels in Fort Kochi, we decided to extend our stay for another night. Our second room was a lower category than the wonderful detached room we had on the first night, so there was no canopy over the bed — which meant no maharaja feeling this time, but that’s perfectly understandable. Even so, the room was just as exceptionally clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, making our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was a healthy mix of Indian and Western styles, which we thoroughly enjoyed. In the evening, we had a beer that was surprisingly large for the price. Sitting there with the night breeze coming in from the Arabian Sea while enjoying that drink made all the fatigue from our travels simply disappear. Highly recommended.

The hot water temperature was slightly inconsistent compared to our previous room.

This is a charming colonial-style hotel located beside a small beach, slightly away from the bustle of Fort Kochi. Its peaceful setting makes it an ideal place to relax and unwind. All the staff members were warm and welcoming, always smiling and smartly dressed. Even the security guard was friendly, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. We stayed in the best detached room, and it was exceptionally clean with absolutely no sign of insects. The hot water temperature was stable, and the bed had a beautiful canopy — it made us feel like maharajas for a while. I would highly recommend this hotel to mature travelers who wish to spend their time in a calm and refined atmosphere.

Me encantó el edificio y la forma en la que fue restaurado. Es pequeño, sencillo de navegar y tiene una aura romántica, con espacios encantadores. Prácticamente de todas partes es posible ver el mar, aunque no desde dentro de las habitaciones (me parece que sólo una tiene vista directa al mar. El resto, inmediatamente fuera de la habitación). El tamaño de las mismas es excelente y son muy cómodas. El personal es amabilísimo y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La ubicación dentro de Fort Kochi es inmejorable, cerca de los puntos de mayor interés, los mejores restaurantes y cafés,la playa (ojo: no hay acceso directo) y gran parte de las muestras de la bienal de arte. Su restaurante ofrece comida excelente.

El hotel está un poco descuidado. Nada grave, pero se nota el paso de los años y algún mobiliario un poco gastado.
