Ezekiel House Residence

Ezekiel House staff were communicative and came out to the street to take our bags from us. It was very nice. The room was absolutely incredible, the hardwood floors and tile, plus comfortable king size bed, view of the street below with shoppers enjoying the peaceful-yet-bustling Synagogue Lane. Every single member of the staff was extremely giving with their time and energy, recommendations, and service. The food was incredible. The calamari, hummus platter, pesto scrambled eggs, desserts, and thali! The egg shakshuka and fruit platter too! Oh, and the excellent espresso, caffè latte, and fresh fruit juices absolutely made my mornings! A thank you to the kitchen: each dish, each meal, was fantastic. We did not find a better place to eat in all of Kochi during our five day stay. Laundry was prompt and the room was cleaned every day. The water pressure in the shower, hot water, desks and fridge, dresser, and other amenities/furniture in the room and around the property were just perfect! Ezekiel House is among my favorite places to stay in all of India after having spent about six months visiting nearly ten different states in India. The concierge gave us many great recommendations to help ensure we got the most out of Kochi, and our every need was met at Ezekiel House. The location is fantastic! We absolutely loved being able to walk out our door onto Synagogue Lane and to the historic Synagogue. The history here is palpable! The Synagogue museum is fascinating. The many antiquities dealers and clothing shops made for fun browsing. You are not far from Fort Kochi with all of its cafes, a museum or two, Yoga studios, and romantic waterfront restaurants! We also particularly enjoyed being able to walk just a few steps to "The Ethnic Passage" and Jew Town Cafe, where the folk art and tasty bites make for a lovely afternoon and a great place to get out of the rain in monsoon season (when we stayed in Jew Town).
