Il b&b di Alice

Breakfact was excellent and right outside the front door. We had a double delux room with sea view and balcony, it was on the ground floor overlooking the harbour. Perfect for us. Andrea was very pleasant and helpful, as were the maids.

Andrea is a great host. B&B is in the perfect location, you literally walk out to the main streets of Monopoli. Really amazing area, with lots of restaurants and bars. Sea view I think is a bit... overpromised in the offer but still great addon to the room. Balcony is pretty small so if you're thinking about having some romantic lunch, you're unlikely to fit :). Coffee worked great though! :). Andrea offered a private parking space 7 minutes away from the B&B because the area where B&B is located doesn't allow to enter by non-residents. Besides apartment is by the one of the main pathways so you'd struggle to get there by car. Taking this private parking was probably one of the best ideas as finding space on the street is close to impossible on Sunday. In general amazing place including Monopoli itself.

The apartment is in the centre of the old town, with fabulous water views from the bedroom balcony. Very easy access to the main sites and multiple restaurants. Breakfast is at the cafe immediately outside the door - wonderful homemade tarts, pastries and cakes.

The breakfast was very poor - it wasn't provided in the B&B, instead it was in a cafe outside the property and we were given viouchers for 1 piece of cake, a coffee and a juice. Very disappointing. There was no Wi-Fi available in our room. The fridge in our room was broken and no effort was made to fix it despite asking the owner. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in our room. There was a coffee machine in the communal area, but there were no coffee pods available on our second morning even though we told the owner the day before, There was no terrace as mentioned. There were wardrobes, but no coat hangers. Upon asking we were given 6. Overall it was a disappointing stay as the facilities weren't as advertised and it wasn't good value for money.
