Lovely home cooked food with generous helpings staff very helpful and courteous. The bedroom (no 8) was large with a good sized bathroom.
Decor was a bit dated and all the rooms were on the 2nd floor up narrow stairs which I found a problem but that's my problem not the property

Location was great.
Room was on top floor. Bit much when carrying 2 luggage boxes from carpark up narrow stairs but it was manageable.

An authentic, old English pub with hotel facilities. Basic furnishings, somewhat run down - the mattresses on the single beds could do with being replaced.
The English breakfast was good. The pub food was ok, hot and fulsome.
David, the landlord, was very friendly and helpful.
The car park is at the back of the pub. Take care when going to your car because you unfortunately have to avoid the dog droppings.
