About this apartment rental

This recently renovated country villa is situated in a beautiful rural setting, nestled in a village in the valley below the Etruscan town of Cortona. It has been converted, in traditional Tuscan style, into seven fully-self-contained, apartments.
The Bugia apartment sleeps two and is located on the ground floor and comprises;
An open plan lounge and kitchen/dining room with a double sofa bed and
A toilet and shower room.
The apartment has air conditioning, winter heating and WI-FI Internet access. The kitchen has a fridge, oven, electric hob, Kettle and Toaster. There is an iron/board and hairdryer supplied in reception plus 2 clothes dryers for guests use. Bed and bath linen are included.
Our guests can enjoy the large 12m x 6m swimming pool and barbecue area (with sink). The pool area is equipped with tables, chairs and loungers. From here you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Tuscan hills.
The surrounding gardens are particularly beautiful in spring and early summer, with colour and scent from the many rose bushes, jasmine and lavender. The pool is open from the beginning of April until the end of September.
Any time is a good time to visit Tuscany, but in Spring and Autumn the climate is mild. Bus services and trains connect the larger towns, but having a car would be an advantage and you would be able to more easily enjoy the small towns and vineyards, which represent some of Tuscany’s strong points.
Tuscan cuisine is rich in vegetable dishes, tasty soups, meats flavoured with sage, rosemary, and thyme.
A holiday in Tuscany is an experience that will give you happy memories for the rest of your life.

To travel to the apartment:
By air - there are many low-cost flights to this area on budget and scheduled airlines. Perugia and Florence are the nearest airports but Pisa, Bologna and Rome are only about 2 to 3 hours drive away. You can hire a car at a special rate through most airlines.

By train - the apartment is about 5km. from the Camucia - Cortona railway station from where there are regular train services to Rome, Florence, Perugia and Pisa.

By car - the apartment can be reached by leaving at the junction for Valdichiana on the motorway A1 / E35, which is the main motorway through the centre of Italy. This junction is only 16 Km. from Fratta-santa Caterina.
Outside - there is ample parking space and the surrounding gardens are particularly beautiful in spring and early summer, with colour and scent from the many rose bushes, jasmine and lavender. The extensive grounds contain a pool (12m x 6m) and a picnic area with tables, a barbeque and pergola.
The pool is open from the beginning of April until the end of September.
