About this apartment rental
It is the old home of our family! The apartment in question is located on the first floor of a traditional farmhouse. It consists of two double bedrooms, living room with sofa bed, fireplace, kitchenette and two bathrooms (one of these serving, without shower). To reach it there is the external staircase.
Air conditioning in the bedrooms and in the living room.
Free WiFi and parking.
The structure has been recently renovated preserving the original characteristic features. With stone walls with large exposed sections, terracotta ceilings with chestnut beams, Tuscan terracotta floors, ancient doors with bolts and old locks, the house has been reborn without losing its essence.

A tour in the surroundings
From the village of Fratticciola you can easily reach the city of Cortona with all its artistic beauties and its places of spirituality such as the wonderful hermitage of the Celle. Other art cities and medieval villages such as Arezzo, Montepulciano, Siena, Assisi and many others are also easily accessible.
In the surroundings of the village, lovers of movement will find cycle and pedestrian paths such as the Path of Reclamation which extends along the bank of the Esse torrent through the Cortona countryside.
Riding stables for horseback riding, ponds for sport fishing, cellars where you can taste wines and typical Tuscan products, tennis courts and more.

We loved staying in Fratticciola. The apartment was perfect for us (a couple). Many places outside in the beautiful garden to sit. The owner was very friendly and chatted to me in my broken Italian. The village was quiet- the best sleeps we have had in a long time. Would gladly stay again at this location! I was sad to leave here.

It was an enchanting whole apartment typical rustic Tuscany/Umbria…if you are Aussie and in Italy for a while and cooking for yourselves you might want to buy a set of tongs and a spatula. Fraticciola is a short drive to Cortona Conad a huge shopping centre where you can buy everything…there is a large fridge/freezer, 4 burner gas stove, washing machine..the hosts are lovely and very kind..hose outside to clean the car…we spent a week and used it as a base to visit Siena, Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi, Arezzo…highly recommend! Just as described, beautiful authentic home and great hospitality from the hosts. Parking on site. Little market a block away and great central location to visit nearby towns. Quiet neighborhood and great views!

This was a perfect stay. Picturesque location, close to Cortona and wineries and shops- we even walked to one of them. Best of all though was the kindness of the host who left us wine, salad, bruschette and cantucci. We would LOVE to come back one day!
