Perfect apartment, gracious host, great location

This was the best apartment we rented in Italy! It was beautifully furnished - it looked fairly new inside, was well stocked with things for the kitchen. Had dressers to put away clothes. Pool was nice & quiet. Host came to car to meet us when we arrived, which was so nice because we had trouble hooking up with previous owner. There is a cute dog on property which our kids liked. It was not bothersome or loud. The location was close to Cortona. Note the pillows are not feathers and the bed is US King size. The pull out sofa bed also looks like king size.

We had a very nice stay at Fattoria Borgonuovo. Everything looks like the pictures. The place is clean and quiet, the children loved the swimming-pool !

"I stayed in Marco''s home for a week with my wife and three children. I must say, that Marco is a very friendly and helpful host, he sends detailed driving directions to all his renters which is extremely helpful, it''s really easy to find his house. The apartment was clean, kitchen was equipped enough to buy food for all my family, bathroom was spacious and clean, the garden was kept in perfect order, the water in a swimming pool was clean, so it was all perfect, just as it should be. The only drawback was, that as Marco''s property is not fully fenced it happened a few times, that dogs from outside entered the property, and scared the children (but doing no harm to them). Of course it doesn''t refer to Marco''s dog, his dog is very friendly, and likes playing with children. Oh, one more thing, Marco speaks good English, also members of his family do, so no problem with communication."

"We have had a wonderful stay at Borgonuovo. The appartment was exactly as described on the website, very clean and nicely decorated. A slightly more powerful light would have been appreciated when dining on the terrace at night but for the rest the appartment is very well equipped. It is located in a quiet country but is nevertheless well located to visit easily places in Tuscany and Umbria like Siena, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Perugia, Assisi, and of course Cortona which is nearby and very nice. We also appreciated the well-kept pool and garden and the panoramic view on the country, hills and Cortona. But what will certainly remain as one of our best memories of this stay is the kindness of the owners, we particularly appreciated Pino''s enthusiasm and availability to share with us his good tips and endless knowledge about the wines of his region. Thank you again."

We loved the place...Marco is a very kind and friendly and easy going. The pool is clean, wazer so fresh. The location is close to camucia and cortona to go out. We had wonderful walking close to the apartment and enjoyed the nature. We will definitely return.

Marco est très discret alors que sa propriété est entretenue au cordeau (il taille, nettoie, entretien le matin tôt et sans bruit afin de nous laisser profiter au mieux des lieux. Il sait aussi nous renseigner sur les lieux alentours, dans un anglais parfait. La piscine est idéalement située, toujours au soleil et dans un décor de carte postale. Le logement est suffisamment équipé pour une famille de 4 personnes pendant une semaine, propre, le linge de maison est de qualité . Un seul bémol mais qui ne dépend pas du logement : les moustiques sont voraces en Toscane :)

It is in the Tuscan country side. It comes with all wonderful features such as calm with the only sound audible are birds and chicades happily singing. The swimming pool is nice and shared by three families and the owners family. We needed the air conditioning on and off as it was during the hot spell and the additional cost for this was 28euros for a week. The windows have mosquito nets but even so they come in to eat you up so we recommend keeping the windows and door closed if you suffer from mosquito bites. One and the only negative factor was the drainage for the shower. If you didn't want to stand in an inch/2.5cm of dirty puddle you had to stand on the raised area which was what we did in the end and it is doable. I expect unless a major work is done to the drainage this is quite normal in Tuscany. We have had similar in other places. Marco, the owner speaks excellent English and is there for whatever the questions and requests. Extra freezer and fridge space was provided for each villas in a communal fridge freezer which was very welcome. Bring everything such as bin liner, sponge for washing up, washing up liquid, soap, salt and pepper, etc. But kitchen utensils and crockery and cutlery are provided as well as towels and sheets.

Wir haben uns bei Marco und seiner Familie sehr wohl gefühlt. Gleich zu Beginn erhielten wir tolle Tipps zur Umgebung und hatten jederzeit einen Ansprechpartner. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits etwa 10 Autominuten von Camucia und weiter 7 Minuten von Cortona entfernt. Dadurch hat man aber seine Ruhe und kann die typische Toskana mit ihren weiten Feldern und Zypressen geniesen. Auch von den Haustieren (4 Katzen und 1 Hund) wurden wir freundlich aufgenommen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, stilvoll eingerichtet und sauber und hat alles, was man braucht. Einzig der Tv ist etwas klein, aber wer kommt schon zum Fernsehen in die Toskana? Der Pool ist traumhaft und einen Grill hatten wir auch zur Verfügung. Die gesamte Anlage entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Klimaanlage kann man für einen geringen Aufpreis hinzubuchen. Wir können diese Unterkunft vollstens empfehlen.
