Just a short tram ride south of Central Station takes you into one of the most cosmopolitan and vibrant districts of Amsterdam. Welcome to the pipe. Formerly a working class quarter built to ease the overpopulated Jordaan in the 19th century and to house laborers, the Pipe if we know Amsterdam today it is without a doubt a melting pot of cultures and nationalities. Thanks to previous settlers, the Pipe continues to breathe life as the lively bohemian district known as the Latin Quarter. This vibrant alternative at the walking distance from Amsterdam is appealing to many. The young, old, students, artists, and families have all chosen to make the Pijp their home.

Public transport: Schiphol Airport via Amsterdam Central Station (CS) to our house (Google):
- Intercity Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station: 15 min.
- walking from CS towards Tram line 16/24: 4 min.
- Tram 16/24 at CS to Stadhouderskade / Ferdinant Bolstreet: 12 min.
- walking from Tram 16/24 towards our house: 3 min.

By car:
- from the highway up to our house: 10 - 15 minutes
- use your route planner (Google Maps ..)
- tip: enter the quarter via Stadhouderskade
- parking: around the house is a expensive exercise for a longer period, we advise parking: P + R Olympic Stadium (by tram line 16 or 24 from our apartment, 10 min), parking fee 1 euro / 24hours with a valid tram- Ticket from city center, i. C. Our house. Maximum parking time in one row: 4 x 24 hrs.
