La casa curata nei minimi dettagli, la posizione comoda e in quartiere residenziale. Tutto davvero molto bello e con tutte le comodità (phon, lavatrice e persino il massaggiatore per i piedi a fine giornata)

I'm reluctant to say how I really feel about this property as I want to keep it my little secret forever. This was mine and my partners most favourite stay during our time in Japan. We cannot fault anything about the accomodation or our stay. We were blown away when we first entered the house as it certainly exceeded all our expectations. This property was immaculate, it had everything we could have needed and more, and living at SEN Shichijo-Heian allowed us to absorb the authentic vibe and essence of Japanese living. I loved bathing in my own private onsen each evening whilst overlooking the gorgeous maple tree in the courtyard. This house has over 100 years of history yet it felt like it was timeless/ageless. If I didn't know better I would have said it was only recently renovated/refurbished. Everything was perfect and we encourage anyone travelling to Japan to experience time living like a local in a traditional Machiya house, especially at this property and in a place such as Kyoto. By pass the big hotels in exchange for this special and unique place. Our host Bhirawa was beautiful and could go out of her way more to help us. My partner had accidentally left his passport back in the previous town we stayed in and Bhirawa went to the trouble of calling the previous accomodation to organise a courier to send the passport on to our new location. Thank you to SEN Shichijo-Heian for having us. It was our honour to be guests at your property.

There is nothing we didn't like but please be aware as a foreigner you are travelling to a country that speaks Japanese, and that's wonderful. The Japanese should not have to change what they do for travellers, That's the beauty of travelling and taking in other cultures. You need to accept this and realise that if you cannot speak or read Kanji then that's your barrier. The appliances are in Japanese as are some of the instructional booklets for the appliances in the house. We managed to work around this adapt and use apps like google translate and it was not a problem for us, but know that for some more high maintenance travellers this could be an issue. Please don't let it be. If you do you will miss out on this incredible stay. We are sure that once more English speaking travellers do frequent this property that this will be addressed.

町屋という事が生かされており、京都情緒があった。 しめパフェが美味しかった。 スタッフの対応が丁寧。

頼まれた事以外をしない。サービス過剰でないが、もう少し気を利かせて欲しい。 お風呂等の設備が情緒重視で使いづらい。 チェックインの場所とパフェの場所と宿泊施設が離れている。 犬の臭いが気になった。 近所にスーパーやレストランが少ない。
