A Stylish Stay w/ a Queen Bed, Heated Floors.. #34

Maverick at 89 Marion Brookline is my regular go-to place when I return to Boston especially when I have to stay near the city / BU. The rooms are as shown in the pictures. The location is ideal especially if taking public transport. Regular housekeeping is an edge over many other air b&b. Safe and vibrant neighborhood is the top reason!

Unfortunately the elevator was malfunctioning during our stay. Instead of ascending to the third floor, it descended to the basement. We managed to get out of the elevator at the basement, but could not retrieve our item in time. The elevator remained out of service between Aug 16-18. I cannot imagine if we were stuck in it. The Maverick staff were contactable immediately (appreciate that!) but the response to the elevator recovery was painstaking (not sure if this is Boston std). (Thank you the kind soul who stayed at the basement floor for helping us with our luggage)

Cleanliness and great location. Amenities are also great.

The bed is uncomfortable (dented in the middle, so OK for one person, but very uncomfortable for two). Elevator is declared in description but did not work during out whole stay, so we had to bring our heavy luggage up and down. The balcony mentioned in the description is not private but shared with strangers, so basically unusable (if we just our door to the balcony, they can see our whole room and enter it).
