VIVA Casa da Praça with heated Pool and Terrace

Perfect house with independent studios for group of friends or family. Great location in quiet interesting area Nice pool area

The ground floor room is nice even if smaller than the others and smells nice. The common areas on the ground floor are a bit humid and smells a hit when it rains.

The room was incredibly spacious, with a comfortable main bed. The decorations were quirky, with each room having a different theme to it (we stayed in the 'Flight Room' with a big suspended aeroplane hanging from the ceiling). The shower had a good temperature, and had waterfall and regular shower head options. The room felt bright during the day, and had a kitchenette with a kettle, toaster and microwave, as well as a small fridge. There was a common room with books and games, as well as an honesty jar for buying alcoholic drinks or bottled water. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try out the pool during to the weather and our busy itinerary, but it looked like a well-maintained and relaxing space. The hosts were very responsive, and gave recommendations about restaurants and attractions in Porto.

While it wasn't necessarily a big problem for the time of year we visited, the air conditioning seemed to be broken, as was the main entrance door to the building. The accommodation was a little further out from the centre of town, but only about a 10-min walk to a metro station.

It could be a bit cleaner, dust on lamps, plane, decoration. And confortable.

Location

There is a strong sewage smell upon the entry and it stayed there the whole time. There were other guests who were very disturbing, who drank and smoked in front of our door and in the hall way at 3am, and they also got defensive when we kindly asked them to stop. There is not a morning we didn’t wake up early with a noise. The cleaning staff was also extremely loud. We found the room a bit dirty.
