We weren't allowed into the room until someone went to the cash machine (12 mins walk away) to get cash to pay the Tourist Tax, and Deposit. Everyone had to stand in the hall with all the luggage. The host seemed to rather enjoy making us do this.
Pleas of 'Tomorrow?' left him unmoved.
The supplies in the apartment were almost zero. No tea, coffee, washing-up liquid, no shower gel or shampoo, no cleaning cloths, nothing to clean pans with. And in Austria, all the local shops are shut from Sat afternoon until Monday morning.
Weird layout: you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the living area.
Infurating: there are only 2 sockets in the kitchen, for the toaster, kettle and coffee maker. We spent every morning fighting over who wanted each appliance and unplugging and re-plugging.
