8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
Accommodation only but two cafes in Banchory that served a good cooked breakfast. Evening meal available in the club which was good, particularly the fish and chips which I had on two nights as it was so good and I could sit out on the veranda eating them.
The club is located on a steep bank with a lot of steps up to the entrance which would make it difficult for anyone with mobility problems. The dividing walls between the rooms are very thin resulting in you being able to hear everything in the room next door,

The location was central and the views were fantastic.
Maybe the rooms were a bit dated. But were clean and spacious

The staff is super friendly - shoutout to Kim! - and it is cheap. The food portions are MASSIVE and, again, cheap. Definitely a place to go if you are looking for something not too fancy and not too pricey. The rooms are just upstairs of a pub (use this info however you like :D)
The room was very small - but we expected this. Again, cheap = adjust your priorities :D

Convenient for my needs, really just needed a bed for night. Got in before check in time which was a bonus thanks.
