Great location right in the centre of Helmsley. Could walk to 2 excellent restaurants (Coopers and La Trattoria) in 2 minutes. Parking on site a great bonus in a busy town. Hosts were very friendly which is important to us. We had good chats about this and that. The breakfast was very good - plenty of choice, cooked to order and tasty. Porridge on the last morning with cream and golden syrup particularly appreciated! Room was compact and comfortable. Fresh milk provided in a fridge plus a barrel of biscuits! We enjoyed our weekend.
A bit cool in the room at times even though the radiator was on but not a problem.

The breakfast was exceptional, with plenty of choice and well cooked and presented. Ideal location right by the castle and easy walking to the town centre. We slept well as it was lovely and quiet at night. Very friendly and informative hosts.
No complaints, but if I'm being picky, the double bed mattress was a little too firm for our liking.

No beans on the full English. Sausages tasted like they were going off.
Didn’t like having to ask for the heating to be turned on in the evening.
