Did we already mention that it's practically seaside? Just one row of houses separates Mandala from the beach and the sand. Hence, why we call it Mandala Sands. It's just a walk to the beach, where you can catch the sunset over the vast expanse of waves.

This is a very clean, highly functional home near the beach. A short trail through the tidal grasses lead you to Westport's pristine 3-mile long sandy beach. Take the crab rings to the wharf and bring home dinner!
This home has a fully equipped kitchen, making it perfect enough to whip up a morning breakfast to start the day or a late night snack when you're just too excited to fall asleep.
The living area is filled with windows that let in the sun and cozy couches to sink into when you're ready to relax. Warm up in front of the fireplace and watch your favorite movie to end the night! Mandala Sands has a mounted flat screen that provides that home away from home comfort.
Dogs are welcome with a standard per dog, per night fee.

We are available to assist you every day of the year if you have any questions or concerns before, during or after your visit to our home. We have onsite property management available 24/7 for anything concerning that may arise.
MANAGED: Property requires good behavior and adherence to instructions, house rules, terms, conditions, onsite instructions, and may require online registration, accidental damage protection, and electronic signature before final booking confirmation, or you may cancel before proceeding at that time. Instruction including access will be sent by email. Phones open 9am to 7pm every day. Unless otherwise arranged, check-in is between 5 and 7pm and check-out is before 11am. If dogs are allowed, they must be approved in advance, with a quantity, weight limit, and a per-dog, per-day fee. Due to government and owner requirements, occupancy may never exceed the number of registered guests, dogs and vehicles. Drop-in guests are not allowed. For security, there may be outwardly facing security cameras, capable of constant recording, and interior decibel meters to monitor noise. Bookings over 30 days or longer are with Prospera VIP.

We first stayed in this home when it was first built about 30 years ago. It is a great location, great view, and a very comfortable open concept plus three bedrooms, and sleeping in the family room. The house has had very few upgrades/updates in the last 30 years. It is clean, quiet at the end of a dead-end private road, has easy beach access, and for now, an unobstructed ocean view. The house also has A/C - which is nice - even on the Washington Coast as this direct west facing ocean view gets the house very warm!

I booked the house for a weekend out at the coast with a friend and our two kids.
Pros:
- Great communication from the property manager. Super clear what the expectations were for check-in and check out, emails ahead of time, etc. Super friendly on the phone.
- The house is really well stocked. Leftover food from other guests cleaned and organized in a pantry, games and toys to play, and a ton of beach stuff to use in the garage.
- Beds were super comfortable.
- Great view of the water
Cons:
- The “beach access” is a little more involved than the pictures imply. It’s a pretty steep drop off from the upper dunes to the beach. Definitely not for older folks or little kids! Later on, we did find a staircase a bit north that was easier.
- Cleanliness left a bit to be desired, there was still toothpaste from a previous guest in the upstairs sink.
- The downstairs was super dark. Mismatched and dim lightbulbs made it a bit difficult to see.
- The thermostat in one of the rooms was broken, which meant that either the wall heater was going full blast all night or the room was cold. I had to keep it on to get my daughter to sleep and then sneak in to turn it off so she wouldn’t overheat.
- The 5:00 pm check-in is a bit late
- This is definitely not the responsibility of the owner/property manager but note that as of May 2024, there is construction happening right next door. We were woken up at 6:30 both mornings by crews starting to work right outside our window.
