Everything you need in one lower ground floor apartment.

Everything you need in a ground floor apartment. Comfortable and clean. Well decorated. Parking on the streets was easy but it wasn't busy. Instructions were also good that were sent. Close to places to eat and the sea!

As it was one ground floor, we felt we couldn't open the windows, with passers by. We did leave the door open to get some fresh air and it was quiet when we visited.

Good for exploring D Day beaches, getting keys tricky

Location - good for exploring D Day beaches - literally at your doorstep.

Collecting the keys is very difficult - from their centralised office in Bayeux - around 15 miles away! The person in charge said plainly it is on the way (so therefore convenient which is not always the case!) and you have to report by the certain time to collect your keys (within their opening times). I think simple key box with pin code / instructions how to get them would be a solution. Also, on the day of the departure you need to wait for someone to get the keys. We were lucky that the person arrived - no English spoken though.

Would stay again!

The location so close to the water, as well as restaurants. Close driving to the beaches of Normandy and just 15 minutes to the town of Bayeux. It was clean and perfect for two people. Very comfortable bed. The streets of the town are quaint and peaceful. Close enough parking, no issues parking.

Not much to dislike. Would've appreciated more than 1 small towel, but perhaps I missed something in the initial listing. I would've liked more natural light, but we didn't spend enough time inside for it to be an issue.

On the Waterfront in the middle of History

You can't really tell from the pictures of the exterior of this apartment but the waterfront is just around the corner and 50 meters walk! You pick up the keys in Bayeux, which we didn't realize until after we booked, however that turned out to be no problem at all and Fredrick was wonderful. Port-en-Bessin is a neat little port, with fishing boats on the canal (canal is 300 meters in a different direction from the apartment than the waterfront and lined with restaurants). It is an ideal place to stay to explore the history of Normandy -war cemeteries, battle sites, & Bayeux (the tapestry museum is the best small museum I've ever been in.). This apartment is run by a rental agency which has several apartments in Bessin so check out the others as well. The apartment itself was amazing, great decor, well stocked kitchen, comfortable, couldn't have been better - we loved everything and this was the high point of our two weeks in France.

There is nothing we didn't like - amazing place.

Bonne surprise, on reviendra.

Très confortable, propre, bien équipé pour faire la Cuisine et plein de petites attentions pour les clients, situé à cinquante mètres du port et de la halle aux poissons.

De plain pied sur le trottoir. Heureusement, peu de circulation. Seul dérangement, les voisins du dessus dans l’escalier et au plafond.
